Contenders include Jimmy Barnes, The Wolfe Brothers and Tegan and Sara.

There was new #1s on both the ARIA Albums and Singles Charts last week’s with Flume picking up his second #1 album with Skin and Calvin Harris collecting his second #1 single with the Rihanna collaboration ‘This Is What You Came For’.

Who’ll challenge last week’s chart-toppers?

Here are some of the contenders who could feature prominently on this week’s ARIA Charts.

ALBUMs

Jimmy Barnes will be aiming for a record-equalling eleventh #1 solo album with his fourth collection of classic soul covers, Soul Searchin' ; Tasmanian country group The Wolfe Brothers will be aiming for a new ARIA Charts peak with third album This Crazy Life; Canadian twins Tegan And Sara could pick up their first top ten with eighth album Love You To Death; metal supergroup Hellyeah  aim for a new peak with fifth album Unden!able; indie duo The Kills return with their first album in five years, Ash & Ice;  Ladyhawke returns with her third album and first in four years, Wild Things; Swedish legends Roxette could chart with a studio album for the first time since 2011 with Good Karma; American metalcore band Beartooth could hit the top 50 for the first time thanks to second album Aggressive; Jai Waetford could make his first appearance on the Albums Chart since 2013 with the EP Heart Miles; the iconic Paul Simon returns with his thirteenth solo album, Stranger To Stranger; Danish metal band Volbeat could make their ARIA Charts debut with Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie; British trance act Above & Beyond could be set for their second top 50 entry with Acoustic Vol. 2.

Titles that could make their way up the Albums Chart this week include Prince’s The Very Best Of and Ultimate, Taylor Swift’s 1989, Florence + The Machine How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, Halsey’s Badlands, Molly (Soundtrack From The TV Series) and Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour.

Singles

With their comeback single ‘Frankie Sinatra’, The Avalanches could make their second career ARIA top 50 appearance and first in 16 years; Shawn Mendes could be set for his for his third ARIA Singles Chart entry with ‘Treat You Better’.

Singles looking to make a move up the chart this week include Ariana Grande’s ‘Into You’, Cheat Codes & Kris Kross Amsterdam’s ‘Sex’ and Twenty One Pilots’ ‘Ride’.
