Can Human Nature or Major Lazer hold #1?

Contenders include Gang Of Youths, Hellions, Alfie Arcuri, The Chainsmokers and more.

There was new #1s again on the ARIA Charts last week with Human Nature scoring their fourth #1 album with Gimme Some Lovin': Jukebox Vol. II and Major Lazer taking their second #1 single with ‘Cold Water’.

Can either act hold their grip on #1 or will there be new #1s this week?

Let’s take a look at some of the week’s ARIA Charts contenders.

ALBUMs

After debuting at #5 in April 2015 with The Positions, Sydney’s Gang Of Youths will be hoping for an even higher debut with new EP Let Me Be Clear; Sydney post-hardcore band Hellions could notch up their third top 50 appearance with Opera Oblivia; winner of season five of The Voice Alfie Arcuri releases his debut album Zenith; American producer DJ Khaled could pick up his top 50 debut with ninth album Major Key; Canadian punk band Billy Talent return with their first album in four years, Afraid Of Heights; punk veterans Descendents release Hypercaffium Spazzinate, their first album since 2004; American producer Zhu could score a second Albums Chart entry with debut album Generationwhy; a year on from Thirty One (#2 Sept. ’15), Jarryd James could score another chart entry with new EP High.

Albums that could move up the chart this week include Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ This Unruly Mess I've Made, Sia’s This Is Acting and Elvis Presley’s If I Can Dream.

Singles

The Chainsmokers could pick up a fourth Singles Chart entry with the Halsey-featuring track ‘Closer’; with the P!nk-featuring single ‘Setting The World On Fire’, American country artist Kenny Chesney could make his ARIA Singles Chart debut; Macklemore & Ryan Lewis could grab a third Singles Chart entry from This Unruly Mess I've Made (#6 Mar. ’16) with ‘Brad Pitt's Cousin’; Dutch producer Martin Garrix could return to the Singles Chart for the first time since 2013 with ‘In The Name Of Love’.

Look out for moves up the Singles Chart this week by Usher’s ‘Crash’, Jonas Blue’s ‘Perfect Strangers’ and Snakehips’ ‘Cruel’.
