Can Molly and Lukas Graham hold their #1s this week?

Who’ll sit at the top of the ARIA Charts this week?

At the top of the ARIA Charts last week the Molly soundtrack notched up a second week at #1 on the Albums Chart, while Danish band Lukas Graham picked up their first #1 on the Singles Chart with ‘7 Years’.

Here are some of this week’s ARIA Charts contenders.

ALBUMS

Adelaide’s Hilltop Hoods will be looking for another high debut on the Albums Chart with Drinking From The Sun, Walking Under Stars Restrung, a collaboration with the 32-piece Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and the 20-piece Adelaide Chamber Singers Choir that features rerecorded, remixed, and restructured tracks from their two previous #1 albums, Drinking From The Sun (#1 Mar. ’12) and Walking Under Stars (#1 Aug. ’14); Canadian band Simple Plan return with their fifth album and first in five years, Taking One For The Team; Winner of the BBC Sound Poll of 2016, Jack Garratt, releases his debut album Phase; Rockers Wolfmother will be looking for their first appearance in the top 50 since 2009 with fourth album Victorious; Irish family band The Corrs return with their first album in a decade, White Light.

Titles looking like they’ll make a move back up the chart this week include This Is Acting and 1000 Forms Of Fear by Sia, the Rod Stewart compilation Some Guys Have All The Luck and Selena Gomez’s Revival.

ARIA winner Missy Higgins could pick up her first appearance on the Singles Chart since 2012 with ‘Oh Canada’; Janoskians member James Yammouni teams up with Sydney boy band In Stereo on ‘Honest’; Brits The 1975 could pick up their second top 50 entry with ‘Somebody Else’

After jumping into the top 10 last week, Hilltop Hoods could go even higher this week with ‘1955’; ‘Roses’ by The Chainsmokers could make a return to the top ten, possibly picking up a new peak along the way; As well as moves up the Albums Chart, Sia looks set to move back up the Singles Chart with ‘Cheap Thrills’ and ‘Alive’.
