Lukas Graham notch up second week at #1

Danes retain pole position on this week's Singles Chart.

Danish group Lukas Graham top the ARIA Singles Chart for a second week with ‘7 Years’. The track’s also currently at the top of the UK Singles Chart. The rest of the top five remains unchanged this week, except for #5, where The Chainsmokers’ ‘Roses’ picks up a new peak after dropping out of the top ten last week.

Further down, this week’s #1 Album holders Hilltop Hoods have moved three spots to #6 with ‘1955’. Rihanna and Drake’s collaboration ‘Work’ moves back up to its debut/peak position of #10 in its fourth week in the top 50. Sia’s seen a double move this week with ‘Cheap Thrills’ jumping seven for new peak at #12 and  previous single ‘Alive’ (#10 Oct. ’15) has re-entering the chart at #43.

Debuts:

#34: The 1975 ‘Somebody Else’ – British group The 1975 pick up their second appearance in the ARIA Singles Chart top 50 with ‘Somebody Else’. It becomes their highest peak, outdoing previous single ‘Love Me’ (#35 Oct. ‘15) by one spot.

#46: Missy Higgins ‘Oh Canada’ – Singer-songwriter Missy Higgins picks up her first appearance on the Singles Chart since  ‘Everyone’s Waiting’ (#11 Jul. ’12) with ‘Oh Canada’. The track is inspired by Alan Kurdi, a drowned Syrian boy whose body washed up on a Turkish beach in September 2015. 100% of net profits from the song will go to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
