There are also debuts for Kendrick Lamar, Tonight Alive, Urthboy and more!

Melbourne band The Cat Empire has debuted at #1 on this week’s ARIA Albums Chart with seventh album Rising With The Sun, their second #1.

There have been some significant moves this week for Coldplay’s Head Full Of Dreams (up four to #10), Twenty One Pilots’ Blurryface (up seven to #14) and INXS’ The Very Best (up ten to #26).

A number of older titles have re-entered this week’s chart including The Rubens’ Hoops (#25), Jason Aldean’s Old Boots, New Dirt (#30) and Led Zeppelin IV (#42).

Debuts:

#1: The Cat Empire ‘Rising With The Sun’ – The Cat Empire nab their second #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with Rising With The Sun. The Melbourne band’s seventh studio album is the follow-up to Steal The Light (#3 May ’13). They first reached #1 in April 2005 with second album Two Shoes.

Rising With The Sun is the fourth Australian album to top the ARIA Charts in 2016.

#3: Kendrick Lamar ‘Untitled Unmastered’ – American rapper Kendrick Lamar picks up a second top five debut with Untitled Unmastered. The album was a surprise release last Friday and consists of previously unreleased demos from the recording of Lamar's #1 third album To Pimp A Butterfly (#1 Mar. ’15). Lamar kicks off his Australian tour on 24 March at Bluesfest in Byron Bay and also includes shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

#6: Tonight Alive ‘Limitless’ – Sydney pop punkers Tonight Alive grab their second top ten on the ARIA Albums Chart with Limitless. The quintet’s third album comes almost three years on from The Other Side (#5 Sept. ’13).

#7: Urthboy ‘The Past Beats Inside Me Like A Second Heartbeat’ – Urthboy returns with his first album in four years, The Past Beats Inside Me Like A Second Heartbeat. The follow-up to Smokey's Haunt (#14 Oct. ’12) is the Sydney rapper’s second top 50 on the Albums Chart and his highest peak to date.

#18: Miike Snow ‘III’ – The third album and first in four years from Miike Snow gives the Swedish band their second top 50 appearance on the ARIA Charts. Their previous album, Happy To You, peaked at #16 in March 2012. The group have also picked up their first appearance in the top 50 on the Singles Chart this week, debuting at #47 with ‘Genghis Khan’.

#23: Jon English ‘Six Ribbons - The Ultimate Collection’ – Following the passing of Australian singer-songwriter Jon English, this career-spanning set has made its debut. It’s English’s third top 50 album; having previously charted with Some People (#35 ’83) and Modern English (#27 ’84).

#44: Ray LaMontagne ‘Ouroboros’ – Album six from Ray LaMontagne gives the American singer-songwriter his third Australian top 50.  The follow-up to Supernova (#49 May ’14) was produced by Jim James of My Morning Jacket.

#47: Jack Savoretti ‘Written In Scars’ – Italian-English singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti makes his ARIA Charts debut with Written In Scars. It’s his fourth studio album and was his breakthrough in Europe, peaking at #7 in the UK earlier in the year.
