Delta Goodrem - Innocent Eyes

Delta Goodrem’s debut album was the first of the singer-songwriter’s four albums to date to reach #1 on the ARIA Charts. Innocent Eyes hit #1 on debut in March 2003 and spent a total of 29 weeks in the top spot. It currently holds the ARIA Albums Chart record for the most weeks at #1 by an Australian artist. The album also spent 46 weeks in the Top Ten and 63 weeks in the Top 50.

Innocent Eyes featured five #1 singles: ‘Born To Try’ (#1 Dec. ’02), ‘Lost Without You’ (#1 Mar. ’03), ‘Innocent Eyes’ (#1 Jun. ’03), ‘Not Me, Not I’ (#1 Sept. ’03) and ‘Predictable’ (#1 Dec. ’03). It was #1 and #16 on the ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart in 2003 and 2004, respectively. It’s been accredited 15x Platinum.

In 2013, to mark a decade since the album’s release, Goodrem rerecorded Innocent Eyes in its entirety on Innocent Eyes - 10th Anniversary Acoustic Edition (#22 Dec. ’13).

Delta Goodrem has since topped the ARIA Charts for one week each with Mistaken Identity (#1 Nov. ’04), Delta (#1 Oct. ’07) and Wings Of The #Wild (#1 Jul. ’16). More recently, she hit the chart with an album of Olivia Newton-John covers, I Honestly Love You (#4 May ’18).


 

Single

Guy Sebastian - Angels Brought Me HEre

The first of Guy Sebastian’s six #1s on the ARIA Singles Chart came when his debut single ‘Angels Brought Me Here’ spent three straight weeks in the top spot during December 2003.

Released as the winner’s single from the first season of Australian Idol and later featured on Sebastian’s debut album Just As I Am (#1 Dec. ’03), ‘Angels Brought Me Here’ spent its first three weeks on the chart at #1 before going on to spend a total of five weeks in the Top Ten and 12 weeks in the Top 50.

‘Angels Brought Me Here’ was #1 on the 2003 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart. It was accredited 4x Platinum.

Guy Sebastian later hit #1 on the Singles Chart with ‘All I Need Is You’ (#1 Mar. ’04), ‘Out With My Baby’ (#1 Oct. ’04), ‘Like It Like That’ (#1 Sept. ’09), ‘Who's That Girl’ (#1 Dec. ’10) and ‘Battle Scars’ (#1 Aug. ’12). His most recent appearance in the Top 50 was with ‘Set In Stone’ (#11 Nov. ’16).
