Drake hits seven weeks at #1

Debuts for Ellie Drennan, Delta Goodrem and more!

Drake’s ‘One Dance’ this week notches up its seventh week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. For the second week in a row, Drake has two tracks in the top 5, with ‘Too Good’ at #5.

A jump of 19 spots to #3 for ‘In My Blood’ gives The Veronicas their sixth top five single. The duo first hit the top five with ‘4ever’ (#2 Oct. ’05) and have subsequently charted with ‘Hook Me Up’ (#1 Nov. ’07), ‘Untouched’ (#2 Jan. ’08), ‘You Ruin Me’ (#1 Sept. ’14) and ‘If You Love Someone’ (#Dec. ’14).

After peaking at #16 in September 2015, Troye Sivan’s ‘Wild’ returns to the top 50 this week on the back of a new version of the song featuring a verse from Canadian artist Alessia Cara. Cara recently charted with ‘Wild Things’ (#25 Apr. ’16).

This week also sees moves up the chart for Shawn Mendes’ ‘Treat You Better’ (up five to #10), Imany’s ‘Don’t Be Shy’ (up ten to #16), Adele’s ‘Send My Love (To Your New Lover)’ (up seven to #17), OneRepublic’s ‘Wherever I Go’ (up 18 to #32) and Kent Jones’ ‘Don’t Mind’ (up ten to #39).


#41: Ellie Drennan ‘Hard Love’ – 2015 winner of The Voice Ellie Drennan picks up a second entry on the Singles Chart with ‘Hard Love’. Her first Singles Chart entry came last September with ‘Ghost’ (#25 Sept. ’15).

#46: Delta Goodrem Feat. Gizzle ‘Enough’ – With her fifth album, Wings Of The World, released this week, Delta Goodrem picks up a fourth charting single from the album with ‘Enough’. Tracks from the album to previously chart include ‘Only Human’ (#46 Mar. ’15), ‘Wings’ (#1 Aug. ’15) and ‘Dear Life’ (#3 May ’16).

#50: Drake ‘Controlla’ – ‘Controlla’ becomes the fifth top 50 single from Drake’s Views (#1 May ’16) following ‘Hotline Bling’ (#2 Oct. ’15), ‘One Dance’ (#1 May ’16), ‘Pop Style’ (#44 Apr. ’16) and ‘Too Good’ (#3 Jun. ’16).
