Dangerous - Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson’s eighth studio album became his third to top the Albums Chart in Australia when it held the top spot for six weeks in late-1991/early-1992. Debuting at #2, Dangerous hit the #1 spot for the first time in its second week on the chart, remaining there for a further five weeks.

Singles released from Dangerous include ‘Black Or White’ (#1 Nov. ’91), ‘Remember The Time’ (#6 Mar. ’92), ‘In The Closet’ (#5 May ’92), ‘Jam’ (#11 Jul. ’92), ‘Who Is It’ (#34 Sept. ’92), ‘Give In To Me’ (#4 Apr. ’93) and ‘Heal The World’ (#20 Apr. ’93).

The album was #19 on the 1992 ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart. It’s been accredited 10x Platinum.

Michael Jackson has also had #1 albums in Australia with Off The Wall (1979), Thriller (#1 Jul. ’83) HIStory: Past, Present And Future - Book 1 (#1 Jun. ’95), Invincible (#1 Nov. ’01) and Essential Michael Jackson (#1 Jul. ’09).


Black Or White - Michael Jackson

The first single released from the Dangerous album, ‘Black Or White’ became Michael Jackson’s fourth #1 single in Australia when it spent eight weeks at the top during late-1991/early-1992. Debuting at #5, the single reached #1 in its third week in the top 50.

‘Black Or White’ has been accredited 2x Platinum. It was #34 on the 1992 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart.

Michael Jackson has previously reached #1 in Australia with ‘Ben’ (1972), ‘Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough’ (1979) and ‘Billie Jean’ (1983).
