Two of 2003's biggest releases held the #1s 13 years ago.

ALBUM

Delta Goodrem - Innocent Eyes

Delta Goodrem’s debut album was the first of the singer-songwriter’s three albums to reach #1 on the ARIA Chart to date. Innocent Eyes debuted at #1 in March 2003 and spent a total of 29 weeks in the top spot, the record for most weeks at #1 by an Australian album in ARIA Charts history.

Innocent Eyes featured five #1 singles: ‘Born To Try’ (#1 Dec. ’02), ‘Lost Without You’ (#1 Mar. ’03), ‘Innocent Eyes’ (#1 Jun. ’03), ‘Not Me, Not I’ (#1 Sept. ’03) and ‘Predictable’ (#1 Dec. ’03). It was #1 on the ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart in 2003 and #16 on the same chart in 2004. It’s been accredited 15x Platinum.

Goodrem has since topped the ARIA Charts for one week each with Mistake Identity (#1 Nov. ’04) and Delta (#1 Oct. ’07).

SINGLE

50 Cent - In Da Club

50 Cent’s debut on the ARIA Singles Chart gave the American rapper his only #1 to date. The first single taken from 50 Cent’s debut album, Get Rich Or Die Tryin' (#4 Mar. ’03), ‘In Da Club’ spent its first two weeks in the top 50 at #4 before taking the top spot in its third week. The single spent five straight weeks at #1 and a total of 16 weeks in the top ten.

‘In Da Club’ was #5 on the 2003 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart. It was accredited 2x Platinum.

Two more singles from Get Rich Or Die Tryin' charted in the top ten: ’21 Questions’ (#4 Jul. ’03) and P.I.M.P. (#2 Nov. ’03). 50 Cent last appeared in the ARIA top 50 with ‘My Life’ (#28 Dec. ’12).
