Can Gnash and Deftones hold on to their #1s?

Last week’s ARIA Charts saw American band Deftones debut at the top of the Albums Chart with their eighth album Gore. On the Singles Chart, producer/singer Gnash jumped to #1 with ‘I Hate U, I Love U’.

Can Deftones and Gnash hold on or will we see new #1s on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Let’s take a look at this week’s chart contenders.

ALbums

British singer-songwriter PJ Harvey will be looking to pick up her second top ten appearance with The Hope Six Demolition Project, her first album in five years; members of the classic line-up of Santana reunite for the first time on record since 1971 with Santana IV; soprano Marina Prior and tenor Mark Vincent team up for duets album Together; after debuting at #76 last week, Josh Groban’s Stages (Live) could make its top 50 debut this week; the soundtrack to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest could make its top 50 debut this week.

Albums that could be on the rise this week include Disturbed’s Immortalized, Ed Sheeran’s X, Rüfüs’ Bloom, Michael Jackson’s Essential Michael Jackson, Little Mix’s Get Weird, Hilltop Hoods’ Walking Under Stars and David Bowie’s Blackstar.

Singles

P!nk could make her first appearance on the ARIA Singles Chart in 2016 with ‘Just Like Fire’; Jason Derulo could also pick up his first top 50 entry for the year with ‘If It Ain't Love’; American rapper Luke Christopher could be set for an ARIA Charts debut with ‘Lot To Learn’; Rihanna could grab a second charting single from Anti with ‘Kiss It Better’.

Singles that could make a move up the chart this week include Dua Lipa’s ‘Be The One’, Desiigner’s ‘Pand’ and Nick Jonas’ ‘Close’.
