Debuts for Kendrick Lamar, Calvin Harris, Bliss N Eso and more!

Notching up its thirteenth consecutive week in the top spot, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You’ this week equals the record for most weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. It joins Coolio’s ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ (#1 Oct. ’95) at the top of the list. If the track holds the top spot for one more week, it will be the outright record holder.

In its fifth week in the top 50, Sheeran’s ‘Galway Girl’ scores a new peak at #2. The track is up seven spots from last week and is the third single from #1 album ÷.

Clean Bandit’s ‘Symphony’ moves up a further four spots, to score a new peak at #14.

As ‘Mask Off’ moves up ten spots to #22, Future’s ‘Selfish’ re-enters the top 50 at #43.

Rag'N'Bone Man’s ‘Human’ re-enters at #38. It’s the track’s eighteenth week in the top 50.

Debuts:

#6: Kendrick Lamar ‘Humble.’ – American rapper Kendrick Lamar takes out his first top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Humble.’. The track is the second to chart from Lamar’s forthcoming fourth album, following on from last week’s chart appearance by ‘The Heart Part 4’ (#35 Apr. ’17). Lamar’s previous chart peak was with ‘King Kunta’ (#32 Feb. ’16).

#24: Calvin Harris Feat. Young Thug, Pharrell Williams & Ariana Grande ‘Heatstroke’ – A second Singles Chart entry in 2017 for British DJ Calvin Harris. The track, which features vocals by Young Thug, Pharrell Williams and Ariana Grande, comes a month on from ‘Slide’ (#11 Mar. ’17). It’s Harris’ 21st top 50- entry.

#34: Jason Derulo Feat. Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign ‘Swalla’ – A year on from charting with ‘If It Ain't Love’ (#34 Apr. ’16), Jason Derulo returns with ‘Swalla’. It’s the lead single from Derulo’s forthcoming fifth album and features appearances from Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.

#36: The Chainsmokers ‘The One’ – American duo The Chainsmokers score their third chart entry for the year with ‘The One’. Like ‘Paris’ (#4 Jan. ’17) and the Coldplay collaboration ‘Something Just Like This’ (#2 Mar. ’17), the new track comes from the just-released album Memories...Do Not Open.

#41: Bliss N Eso Feat. Gavin James ‘Moments’ – With the release of their sixth album, Off The Grid, under a month away, Sydney’s Bliss N Eso hit the Singles Chart with ‘Moments’. The track is the follow-up to ’Dopamine’ (#38 Oct. ’16) and features American soul singer Lee Fields.

#49: Cheat Codes Feat. Demi Lovato ‘No Promises’ – LA trio Cheat Codes pick up their third Singles Chart entry as lead artists with ‘No Promises’. The follow-up to ‘Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On)’ (#38 Oct. ‘16) includes vocals by Demi Lovato.

#50: Dean Lewis ‘Waves’ – The debut ARIA Singles Chart appearance for Dean Lewis. ‘Waves’ comes from Lewis’ soon-to-be-released debut EP.
