Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

Arctic Monkeys scored the first of their two #1s to date on the ARIA Albums Chart when Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not debuted in the top spot in February 2006. The band’s debut album spent one week at #1 before going on to spend a total of three weeks in the top ten and 24 weeks in the top 50.

The album featured the singles ‘I Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor’ (#18 Feb. ’02) and ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ (#26 May ’06). It received a Platinum accreditation and was #53 on the 2006 ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart.

Arctic Monkeys followed Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not with Favourite Worst Nightmare (#2 Apr. ’07). They hit #1 on the Albums Chart again with their most recent release, AM (#1 Sept. ’13).

Bob Sinclar - Love Generation

The only #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart to date for French house producer Bob Sinclar came when ‘Love Generation’ spent two weeks at #1 in February 2006. Featuring vocals by Jamaican singer Gary Pine, the single debuted at #30 at the end of January and hit #1 for the first time in its fourth week in the top 50.

‘Love Generation’ spent a total of 13 weeks in the top ten and 25 weeks in the top 50. It was #12 on the 2006 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart and received a Platinum accreditation.

Bob Sinclar followed ‘Love Generation’ with ‘World, Hold On’ (#19 Jun. ’06). He last appeared in the ARIA top 50 with ‘Rock The Boat’ (#39 Apr. ’12).
