Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

January 11, 2017

Contenders include You Me At Six, Dropkick Murphys and more.

On the ARIA Charts last week, the soundtrack to Trolls claimed #1 on the Albums Chart and Clean Bandit made it six weeks in a row at the top of the Singles Chart with ‘Rockabye’.

Which acts could challenge for the top spots on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Here are some of the contenders.

ALBUMs

English band You Me At Six could be set for a new charts peak with fifth album Night People; the ninth album from Dropkick Murphys, 11 Short Stories Of Pain & Glory, could be the band’s first top 20 appearance; American rockers Halestorm could make their top 50 debut with Reanimate 3.0: The Covers EP.

Look out for moves up the chart by Ed Sheeran’s X and +, as well as the soundtrack to La La Land.

Singles

Ed Sheeran could return to the top 50 for the first time since 2015 with new tracks ‘Shape Of You’ and ‘Castle On The Hill’; American rapper Machine Gun Kelly joins forces with former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello for ‘Bad Things’; Sia could pick up a fourth chart entry with a single from This Is Acting with ‘Move Your Body’; New York duo Sofi Tukker could hit the top 50 for the first time with ‘Drinkee’.

Singles that could make their way up the chart this week include Andy Grammer’s ‘Fresh Eyes’, Train’s ‘Play That Song’, Pnau’s ‘Chameleon’ and Rag'N'Bone Man’s ‘Human’.

The weekly ARIA Charts announcement happens every Saturday at 5pm.
