Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

May 31, 2017

Contenders include In Hearts Wake, Bernard Fanning, Frenzal Rhomb and more.

On last week’s ARIA Charts, ‘Despacito’ by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee held #1 on the Singles Chart for a second week. On the Albums Chart, Ed Sheeran returned to claim a tenth week in the top spot with ÷.

Who could we see taking out the top spots on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Let’s have a look at some of the potential debutants and movers.

ALBUM

Byron Bay’s In Hearts Wake could score a third top ten with fourth album Ark; Bernard Fanning follows Civil Dusk (#2 Aug. ’16) up with Brutal Dawn; Sydney punks Frenzal Rhomb could take out their first top ten on the Albums Chart with ninth album Hi-Vis High Tea; American R&B artist Bryson Tiller could make his top 50 debut with second album True To Self; country artist Caitlyn Shadbolt releases her debut album Songs On My Sleeve; Melbourne three-piece Cable Ties could chart with their self-titled debut album; American rapper Lil Yachty releases his debut album Teenage Emotions.

Following a reissue to mark the album’s 50th anniversary, The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band could make a return to the chart. Also look out for moves up the chart by the soundtrack to Fifty Shades Darker, Bernard Fanning’s Civil Dusk and Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman.

Singles

Dutch DJ Martin Garrix teams up with Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan for the track ‘There For You’; Rita Ora could chart for the first time in two years with ‘Your Song’; American rapper Lil Uzi Vert could make his top 50 debut with ‘XO Tour Llif3’; American artist Maggie Lindemann could hit the top 50 with ‘Pretty Girl’; Hailee Steinfeld could score her first chart appearance in 2017 with ‘Most Girls’.

Singles that could make a move up the chart this week include Shawn Mendes’ ‘There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back’, Liam Payne’s ‘Strip That Down’, Future’s ‘Mask Off’, Jonas Blue’s ‘Mama’ and Imagine Dragons’ ‘Thunder’.

The weekly ARIA Charts announcement happens every Saturday at 5pm.
