Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

June 7, 2017

Contenders include Halsey, All Time Low, Alt-J and more.

There was no change at the top of the ARIA Charts last week with Ed Sheeran notching up his eleventh week at #1 on the Albums Chart with ÷ and ‘Despacito’ by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber sitting at #1 on the Singles Chart for a third week.

Which artist could we see challenging for the top spots on ARIA Charts this week?

Here are some of the potential debutants and movers.

ALBUMs

American artist Halsey follows Badlands (#2 Sept. ’15) with Hopeless Fountain Kingdom; pop punk band All Time Low will be aiming for their second top ten on the Albums Chart with seventh album Last Young Renegade; British indie trio Alt-J return with third album Relaxer; singer-songwriter Pete Murray releases his first album of new material since 2011 with Camacho; former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters releases his first album since 1992, Is This The Life We Really Want?; British artist Dua Lipa could make her first Albums Chart appearance with her self-titled debut album; Melbourne folk-rock band Husky return with their third album, Punchbuzz.

Albums that could make a move up the chart this week include INXS’ The Very Best, U2’s The Joshua Tree, Sia’s This Is Acting and Lee Kernaghan’s The 25th Anniversary Album.

Singles

Ahead of the release of Melodrama on 16 June, Lorde could score another Singles Chart entry from it with ‘Perfect Places’; Major Lazer could pick up a second Singles Chart entry for 2017 with the Travis Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo-featured track ‘Know No Better’.

Look out for moves up this week’s Singles Chart by Jonas Blue’s ‘Mama’, Halsey’s Now Or Never and Rita Ora’s ‘Your Song’.

The weekly ARIA Charts announcement happens every Saturday at 5pm.
