Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

August 16, 2017

New releases come from Paul Kelly, P!nk, Kesha and more.

There was no change in the top spots on the ARIA Charts last week. Ed Sheeran’s ÷ held #1 on the Albums Chart for a 19th week. On the Singles Chart, ‘Despacito’ by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee Feat. Justin Bieber sat at #1 for 13th consecutive week.

Who could we see taking out the #1s on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Let’s take a look at some of the possible debutants and movers.

ALBUMs

Legendary Australian singer-songwriter Paul Kelly will be aiming for his first ever #1 album with 23rd studio release Life Is Fine; Kesha could hit the top five for the first time since 2010 and possibly snare her first #1 album with Rainbow; Melbourne singer-songwriter Jen Cloher could make her top 50 debut with her self-titled fourth album; London-based artist Dodie could hit the top 50 for the first time with the You EP; Sydney’s The Preatures follow Blue Planet Eyes (#4 Oct. ’14) with Girlhood; Brisbane singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke teams with The Sydney Symphony Orchestra for the live album Live At The Sydney Opera House; Swedish DJ/producer Avicii releases the EP Avici; the late Glen Campbell could score two more top 50 debuts this week with Glen Campbell's Twenty Golden Greats and Adios.

Look out for moves up the Albums Chart this week by Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2: Awesome Mix Vol. 2, Carole King’s Tapestry and the soundtrack to Trolls.

SIngles

P!nk returns with ‘What About Us’, the first single from her forthcoming seventh album Beautiful Trauma; Avicii could return to the top 50 for the first time since November 2015 with ‘Without You’.

Singles that could make a move up the chart this week include J Balvin & Willy William’s ‘Mi Gente’ and Imagine Dragons’ ‘Believer’.

The weekly ARIA Charts announcement happens every Saturday at 5pm.
