Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

Contenders include King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, The Waifs, Horror Show and more.

At the top of the ARIA Charts last week, Busby Marou became the third Australian act to hit #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2017,debuting in the top spot with their third album ‘Postcards From The Shell House’ and for the seventh consecutive week, Ed Sheeran sat at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Shape Of You’. His latest single ‘How Would You Feel (Paean)’ debuted at #2 giving him a hat trick on the singles chart, with ‘Castle on the Hill’ at #3.

Which artists will we see challenging for the prime positions on the ARIA Charts this week?

ALBUMS

Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard could be set to take out the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart this week with their ninth studio album ‘Flying Microtonal Banana’. It is the first of five albums set to be released in 2017; Australian folk rock band The Waifs will be aiming for their fifth top five appearance with their eighth studio album ‘Ironback’ Australian hip hop duo ‘Horrowshow’ are set to make their second top five Album Chart appearance with their fourth studio album ‘Bardo State’; English grime and hip hop artist Stormzy is set to make his ARIA Album Chart debut with ‘Gang Signs & Prayers’ Australian Indie rock band Holy Holy will be aiming for their first top ten appearance on the ARIA Album Chart; American country music group ‘Little Big Town’ are set to make their first ARIA Album Chart debut with their eighth studio album ‘The Breaker’; the original motion picture soundtrack to T2 Trainspotting could pick up a position in the Top 50; Future is set to make his second ARIA Album Chart appearance for 2017 with ‘HNDRXX’ and American multi-genre bass guitarist, producer and singer ‘Thundercat’ is also set to make his ARIA Album Chart debut with ‘Drunk’.

Look out for moves up the chart this week from Adele's ‘25’, ’21’ & ‘19’.

SINGLES

The Chainsmokers will be aiming for a seventh top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Something Just Like This’ and Calvin Harris teams up with Frank Ocean and Migos on ‘Slide’.

Singles that could make a move up the chart this week include Katy Perry’s ‘Chained To The Rhythm’, It Ain’t Me By Kygo & Selena Gomez, and ‘You Don’t Know Me’ by Jax Jones feat. Raye.
