Their evolution has been truly inspiring.
As individual performers, Christian Flaws (Fonik) and Theo Kanellopoulos (TKO) already had reputations as talented and passionate musicians with energetic shows.
But when the pair combined powers to form Polyfonik, two paths became one and a new story began. They built a reputation as a peak time act leaving crowds breathless with slamming drops and interactive energetic shows. Their sound is a carefully orchestrated infusion of house, rock, electronica, funk and grunge.
Their phenomenal performance reputation has seen the duo feature on some of Australia’s biggest stages including Future Music Festival, Stereosonic, Summadayze, Summafieldayze, Global Gathering, Kiss My Grass, We Love Ministry of Sound and Parklife.
A natural selection when it comes to major supports, Polyfonik have supported world-renowned acts such as Empire of the Sun, Dirty South, Dubruck & Klien, Tiefschwarz, Kaskade, Supafly Inc, Sebastian Leger, Sandy Rivera and DJ Sneak.
Their unique and exciting live performance has made them the obvious choice for a residency in their hometown of Melbourne. For the second year in a row, the club at which they do hold residence, Majik Saturdays at Room 680, was voted as Melbourne’s #1 nightclub in the 2011 inthemix awards, and is a huge testament to Polyfonik.
Alongside a growing and busy touring schedule, Polyfonik spend endless hours in the studio. In January 2011 the effort and hard work paid off when the duo won a nationwide remix contest as part of Tonite Only’s comeback campaign and single We Run The Nite.
With well deserved studio recognition in the bag, Polifonik have been lending their remix treatments to the likes of Sony Music, Onelove, Neon Records, Vicious and 50 Cents’ G-Note Records.
They currently have remixes in the ARIA Club Charts and have many more remixes coming out soon through some of Australia and the world’s best dance labels.
With passion for music and immeasurable persistence to the pair are within reach of worldwide success.
