Chainsmokers hold #1 for second week

Debuts for Betty Who, Tove Lo and more!

American duo The Chainsmokers hold #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for a second straight week with ‘Closer’.

‘Let Me Love You’ by French producer DJ Snake has moved up one spot in its second week in the top 50 to sit at #2.

Moves of one spot inside the top ten have also given new peaks to Twenty One Pilots’ ‘Heathens’ (#4) and Jonas Blue’s ‘Perfect Strangers’ (#6).

A week on from debuting at #17, ‘Sucker For Pain’ by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons, X Ambassadors, Ty Dolla $ign and Logic has moved five spots to #12.

Mike Perry’s ‘The Ocean’ is up eight spots to claim a new peak at #14.

#9: Betty Who ‘I Love You Always Forever’ – Sydney-born artist Betty Who makes her top 50 debut on the ARIA Singles Chart. ‘I Love You Always Forever’ is a cover of the Donna Lewis hit. The original peaked at #2 in October 1996.

#32: Tove Lo ‘Cool Girl’ – After a number of appearances as a featured artist, including on Alesso’s ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ (#11 Oct. ’14) and Flume’s ‘Say It’ (#5 Jun. ’16), Tove Lo returns to the top 50 as a lead artist for the first time since 2014 with ‘Cool Girl’. The first single from the Swedish singer-songwriter’s forthcoming second album Lady Wood is her second top 50 single, following on from ‘Stay High (Habits Remix)’ (#3 Jun. ’14).

#33: Martin Garrix ‘In The Name Of Love’ – Dutch DJ/producer Martin Garrix charts in the top 50 for the first time since ‘Animals’ (#29 Sept. ’13) with ‘In The Name Of Love’. The track features vocals by Bebe Rexha, who previously charted as a featured on Nico & Vinz’ track ‘That's How You Know’ (#2 Aug. ’15).

#41: DNCE ‘Toothbrush’ – The second single from American band DNCE. Debut track ‘Cake By The Ocean’, which peaked #6 in June, sits at #27 this week.
