Gnash's I Hate U, I Love U tops ARIA Singles Chart

There’s a new #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart this week, with American singer/producer Gnash and singer-songwriter Olivia O’Brien claiming the top spot with ‘I Hate U, I Love U’. It’s the track’s fourth week in the top 50.

A jump of four draws ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ level with ‘#SELFIE’ (#3 Apr. ’14) as The Chainsmokers’ highest peak on the Singles Chart.

Drakes’s ‘One Dance’ is up 28 spots from last week’s debut position. Another track from Drake’s just-announced Views From The 6 album, ‘Pop Style’, has debuted at #44 this week (see below).

Up eleven spots this week, ‘Girls Like’ becomes Tinie Tempah’s highest peak on the ARIA Singles Chart. His previous best was with ‘Not Letting Go’ (#24 Aug. ’14).

Having returned to the top 50 last week, Dua Lipa’s ‘Be The One’ moves up 13 spots to claim its highest peak.

After two weeks outside of the top 50, Taylor Swift’s ‘New Romantics’ re-enters at #39, four spots below its peak.

#44: Drake Feat. The Throne ‘Pop Style’ – The second new track from Drake to debut in as many weeks. ‘Pop Style’ is the third track to chart from the rapper’s forthcoming Views From The 6 album, following on from ‘Summer Sixteen’ (#25 Feb. ’16) and ‘One Dance’ (#15 Apr. ’16). It features Kanye West and Jay-Z performing under the name The Throne.

#47: Desiigner ‘Panda’ – American rapper Desiigner picks up his debut ARIA Singles Chart appearance with ‘Panda’. The track first gained wide attaneiton when it was sampled by Kanye West for his track ‘Pt. 2’ on The Life Of Pablo. Desiigner was subsequently signed to West’s GOOD Music label.

#49: Nick Jonas Feat. Tove Lo ‘Close’ – A year on from charting with ‘Jealous’ (#15 Mar. ’15), Nick Jonas makes his second solo appearance on the Singles Chart with ‘Close’. It’s the first single to be released from Jonas’ forthcoming third solo album, Last Year Was Complicated.
