James Arthur holds #1 for second week

Debuts by Little Mix, Illy, Maroon 5 and more!

After jumping to #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart last week, British singer-songwriter James Arthur holds the top spot for a second week with ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’. The track just took out a fourth week at #1 in the UK.

The top four remains unchanged from last week. The week’s highest move comes from Hailee Steinfeld’s ‘Starving’, which returns to its previous peak of #5 after three weeks.

This week’s Singles Chart sees new peaks for The Chainsmokers’ ‘All We Know’ (#8), Bruno Mars’ ‘24K Magic’ (#9), Shawn Mendes’ ‘Mercy’ (#13) and Jessica Mauboy’s ‘Wake Me Up’ (#34).

Debuts:

#16: Little Mix ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ – The first single from Little Mix’s forthcoming fourth studio album, Glory Days. ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ is the British girl group’s third track to debut this year, following on from ‘Secret Love Song’ (#16 May ’16) and ‘Hair’ (#10 Jul. ’16).

#18: Illy Feat. Anne-Marie ‘Catch 22’ – After peaking at #2 in August with ‘Papercuts’, Melbourne rapper Illy scores another Singles Chart entry with follow-up ‘Catch 22’. The new single features British singer Anne-Marie, who recently had her own hit with ‘Alarm’ (#7 Aug. ’16).

#21: Maroon 5 Feat Kendrick Lamar ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ – Maroon 5 return to the top 50 for the first time since ‘Sugar’ (#6 Mar. ’15) with ‘Don’t Wanna Know’. Featuring a guest rap by Kendrick Lamar, the single’s video is a spoof of Pokemon Go.

#30: Nevada Feat. Mark Morrison & Fetty Wap ‘The Mack’ – Swedish producer Nevada debuts on the chart with a re-working of Mark Morrison’s 1996 hit ‘Return Of The Mack’. Morrison features on the new version, along with rapper Fetty Wap. The original peaked at #2 in August 1996.

#40: The Veronicas ‘On Your Side’ – The Veronicas follow up ‘In My Blood’ (#1 Jul. ’16) with ‘On Your Side’. It’s the duo’s fourteenth top 50 single as lead artists.

#46: Timmy Trumpet & MAKJ Feat. Andrew W.K. ‘Party Til We Die’ – Sydney DJ/producer Timmy Trumpet scores his first chart entry of 2016 with ‘Party Til We Die’. The track is a collaboration with American DJ MAKJ and rocker Andrew W.K. Timmy Trumpet’s highest peak to date was with ‘Freaks’ (#3 Sept. ’14).
