The soundtrack to Channel Seven’s Molly Meldrum mini-series has seen off all challengers to top the ARIA Albums Chart for a second straight week.

It heads an unchanged top three along with Adele’s ‘25’ at #2 and David Bowie’s Nothing Has Changed (The Best Of David Bowie) at #3.

Following this week’s Grammys, Kendrick Lamar’s multi-award winner ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ has moved back up five spots to #11. One below Lemar and up two spots  is Album Of The Year winner, Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’. There’s also Grammys jumps for The Weeknd’s ‘Beauty Behind The Madness’ (up five to #17), The Eagles’ ‘The Very Best Of The Eagles’ (up six to #20) and Courtney Barnett’s ‘Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Think’ (re-entry at #36).

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Soundtrack ‘Molly (Soundtrack From The TV Series)’ – Week two at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart for the Molly soundtrack. The final part of the TV mini-series about the ARIA Hall Of Famer aired last Sunday (14/2).

#4: The Jezabels ‘Synthia’ – Sydney band The Jezabels return with their third studio album ‘Synthia’. It’s the quartet’s third consecutive top five debut on the Albums Chart, following on from ‘Prisoner’ (#2 Sept. ’11) and ‘The Brink’ (#2 Feb. ’14).

#6: Ronan Keating ‘Time Of My Life’ – The tenth solo studio album from Irish singer-songwriter Ronan Keating. It’s his first appearance on the Chart since ‘Fires’ (#12 Sept. ’12) and his first appearance in the top ten since ‘When Ronan Met Burt’ (#3 May ’11).

#18: Junkie XL ‘Deadpool (Original Soundtrack Album)’ – A week on from its cinema release, the soundtrack to the Marvel film Deadpool makes its debut on the Albums Chart. Produced by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL), it features original compositions as well as tracks by DMX, Neil Sedaka, Salt-N-Pepa, Wham! and more.

#32: Skyhooks ‘Hits'N'Riffs’ – Bringing together the greatest hits of ARIA Hall Of Famers Skyhooks, ‘Hits'N'Riffs’ was released in November 2015. This week it makes its top 50 debut on the back of the band’s prominent role in the Molly mini-series. The Melbourne music legends last appeared in the top 50 with the 3-disc set ‘Don't You Believe What You've Seen Or You've Heard’ (#40 Nov. ’15).
