The eighth of Madonna’s ten #1s on the ARIA Singles Chart came when the title track to her eighth studio album, Music (#2 Sept. ’00), spent four weeks at #1 in August/September 2000. The single debuted at #1 and spent the following two weeks in the top spot before dropping back to #2 for a week. It then returned to #1 for a fourth and final week. In total, ‘Music’ spent eight weeks in the Top Ten and 13 weeks in the Top 50.

The single was accredited 2x Platinum and was #4 on the 2000 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart.

Madonna has also topped the ARIA Singles Chart with: ‘Like A Virgin’ (#1 Dec. ‘84), ‘Angel’ / ‘Into The Groove’ (#1 Jun. ’85), ‘Crazy For You’ (#1 Jul. ‘85), ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ (#1 Aug. ‘86), ‘Like A Prayer’ (#1 Mar. ‘89), ‘Vogue’ / ‘Keep It Together’ (#1 May ’90), ‘American Pie’ (#1 Mar. ‘00), ‘Hung Up’ (#1 Nov. ‘05) and 4 Minutes (#1 Apr. ‘08). She holds the record for the most weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Charts, with 38 weeks. Her ten #1 singles puts her equal with Kylie Minogue for most #1 singles on the ARIA Charts.

Madonna’s most recent appearance in the Top 50 was with ‘Give Me All Your Luvin'’ (#25 Feb. ’12).
