Debuts for Liam Payne, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry and more!

For the second straight week, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s Justin Bieber-featured track ‘Despacito’ tops the ARIA Singles Chart. The track currently sits atop both the US and UK singles charts.

Moving up seven spots to #10, Niall Horan’s second single ‘Slow Hands’ becomes the former One Direction member’s second top ten on the ARIA Charts, following on from ‘This Town’ (#5 Oct. ’16).

Further down the chart, there are new peaks for Charlie Puth’s ‘Attention’ (up 11 to #19), Cheat Codes’ ‘No Promises’ (up seven to #27) and Jonas Blue’s ‘Mama’ (up ten to #29).

Following Chris Cornell’s passing last week, Soundgarden’s ‘Black Hole Sun’ (#6 Aug. ’94) has returned the top 50 at #49.

Debuts:

#11: Liam Payne Feat. Quavo ‘Strip That Down’ – Liam Payne becomes the final One Direction member to release a solo single, making his debut with ‘Strip That Down’. The track was co-written by Ed Sheeran, among others, and features Migos member Quavo.

#13: Selena Gomez ‘Bad Liar’ – American pop artist Selena Gomez picks up a second Singles Chart entry for 2017 with ‘Bad Liar’. The follow-up to the Kygos collaboration ‘It Ain’t Me’ (#4 Mar. ’17) samples the bassline to Talking Heads’ 1977 single ‘Psycho Killer’.

#37: Katy Perry Feat Nicki Minaj ‘Swish Swish’ – Ahead of the release of Katy Perry’s Witness on 9 June, ‘Swish Swish’ becomes the third track from the album to chart. Featuring Nicki Minaj, it follows on from ‘Bon Appétit’ (#35 May ’17) and ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ (#4 Feb. ’17).

#38: Imagine Dragons ‘Thunder’ – ‘Thunder’ is the second single to be released from Imagine Dragons’ forthcoming third album, Evolve. It hits the chart three months after the album’s first single, ‘Believer’ (#33 Feb. ’17).

#43: Logic Feat. Feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid ‘1-800-273-8255’ – Two weeks on from debuting at #25 on the Albums Chart with Everybody, American rapper Logic scores his first appearance on the Singles Chart as a lead artist with ‘1-800-273-8255’. Logic previously appeared on the chart with Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons and X Ambassadors on the track ‘Sucker For Pain’ (#7 Sept. ’16).

#45: Camila Cabello ‘Crying In The Club’ – The first solo release from former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello. It’s the first track to come from Cabello’s forthcoming solo album The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.. Cabello previously collaborated with Machine Gun Kelly on the track ‘Bad Things’ (#22 Feb. ’17).
