Eleven weeks at #1 for Sheeran's Shape Of You

Debuts for Drake, Clean Bandit and more!

This week, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape Of You’ holds the #1 spot on the ARIA Singles Chart for an eleventh straight week. The last single to spend eleven consecutive weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart was the Spice Girls’ ‘Wannabe’ in 1996/97. The last single to spend more than eleven weeks at #1 was Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ 2002/03. There’s ten Ed Sheeran tracks in this week’s top 50. Three of those tracks are in the top ten.

After two weeks at #3, The Chainsmokers & Coldplay’s ‘Something Just Like This’ returns to its debut position of #2.

A jump of two spots to #4 put’s Zedd’s ‘Stay’ into the top five for the first time. It’s the German DJ’s first top five appearance.

Bruno Mars’ ‘That’s What I Like’ moves up a further two spots to a new peak at #6.

This week’s Singles Chart also features new peaks for Calvin Harris’ ‘Slide’ (#11), Jax Jones’ ‘You Don’t Know Me’ (#12), Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa’s ‘Scared To Be Lonely’ (#14) and Sheppard’s ‘Keep Me Crazy’ (#38).

Debuts:

#16: Drake ‘Passionfuit’ – The second single to come from Drake’s More Life (debuting at #2 on this week’s Albums Chart). ‘Passionfruit’ debuts in the same spot ‘Fake Love’ peaked at back in December 2016.

#42: Clean Bandit Feat. Zara Larsson ‘Symphony’ – After spending six straight weeks at #1 in December 2016 and January 2017 with ‘Rockabye’, British trio Clean Bandit follow it up with ‘Symphony’. Featuring Swedish artist Zara Larsson, it’s the third single released from Clean Bandit’s forthcoming second album. The track also features on Larsson’s album So Good, which has debuted at #7 on this week’s Albums Chart.

#45: Martin Jensen ‘Solo Dance’ – Danish DJ and producer Martin Jensen cracks the top 50 for the first time with ‘Solo Dance’. The track debuted in the top 100 last week at #52. It’s been a hit already in a number of European countries, including Denmark.
