Seven weeks at the top for Post Malone's Rockstar

Post Malone’s ‘Rockstar’ holds on to the #1 spot on the ARIA Singles Chart for a seventh straight week. For the second week in a row, the American rapper’s ‘I Fall Apart’ sits at #6.

Debuting at #2 on this week’s Albums Chart with his second album The Thrill Of It All, Sam Smith’s former #1 single jumps back up seven spots to #3.

A jump of four spots to #7 puts Maroon 5’s ‘What Lovers Do’ into the top ten for the first time. It’s the American band’s tenth top ten single on the ARIA Charts; their first was with ‘This Love’ (#8 May ’04).

Moving up three spots to #9, Marshmello x Khalid’s ‘Silence’ becomes Khalid’s second top ten entry. His track ‘Young Dumb & Broke’ is at #5 this week. Marshmello’s collaboration with Selena Gomez ‘Wolves’ is up two places this week to a new peak at #13.

This week’s Chart also includes new peaks for Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso’s ‘Let Me Go’ (#17), Charlie Puth’s ‘How Long’ (#19), NF’s ‘Let You Down’ (#27), Lil Pump’s ‘Gucci Gang’ (#32), Cardi B’s ‘Bodak Yellow’ (#33), Peking Duk’s ‘Let You Down’ (#37), Sam Smith’s ‘Pray’ (#41)

Debuts:

#16: Taylor Swift ‘Call It What You Want’ – With Reputation released and likely to chart next week, Taylor Swift takes a fourth Singles Chart entry from the album with ‘Call It What You Want’. The track follows ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ (#1 Sept. ’17), ‘…Ready For It?’ (#3 Sept. ’17) and ‘Gorgeous’ (#9 Oct. ’17) into the top 50.

#47: Big Shaq ‘Man’s Not Hot’ – Big Shaq is a fictional grime MC, created and performed by British comedian Michael Dapaah. ‘Man’s Not Hot’ started as a viral hit and eventually charted at #20 in the UK.

#48: N*E*R*D ‘Lemon’ – American alternative hip hop veterans N*E*R*D return with ‘Lemon’, their first track since 2010. Featuring Rihanna, the single is the first to come from the group’s forthcoming fifth album No One Ever Really Dies. N*E*R*D last charted with ‘Maybe’ (#48 Jul. ’04).

#49: Rita Ora ‘Anywhere’ – British artist Rita Ora picks up a second top 50 entry for 2017 with ‘Anywhere’. It’s the second single released from Ora’s upcoming second album, following on from ‘Your Song’ (#12 Jul. ’17).
