Ed Sheeran’s ÷ holds #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for a second straight week. This week, Sheeran’s previous two albums, X and +, hold #4 and #8, respectively.

With her massive Australian tour wrapping up its second week, Adele’s debut album 19 returns to the top ten for a eighteenth week, sitting at #9. Both 25 and 21 also sit in the top ten this week; they’re at #2 and #3, respectively.

As Justin Bieber’s Australian tour wraps up, former #1 album Purpose returns the top ten for a twenty-second week. It’s at #10.

There’s big moves on this week’s Albums Chart for Tash Sultana’s Notion (up nine to #14), Guns N' Roses’ Appetite For Destruction (re-entry at #22), Jessica Mauboy’s The Secret Daughter (up eight to #25), Coldplay’s A Head Full Of Dreams (re-entry at #26) and Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The U.S.A. (re-entry at #31).

Debuts:

#6: Soundtrack ‘Beauty And The Beast’ – Ahead of the release of the live action version of Disney’s Beauty And The Beast, the film’s soundtrack makes its ARIA Charts debut. The album features performances from cast members Emma Watson, Josh Gad, Kevin Kline, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci and more. It also includes Ariana Grande and John Legend’s recording of the title track, originally recorded by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. The original Beauty And The Beast soundtrack peaked at #18 in July 1992.

#16: The Shins ‘Heartworms’ – Five years on from Port Of Morrow (#4 Mar. ’12), American indie stalwarts The Shins return with Heartworms. The band’s fifth studio album is their third to chart in the top 50 in Australia

#19: Laura Marling ‘Semper Femina’ – Laura Marling’s sixth studio album becomes her fifth to chart locally. Semper Femina’s release comes two years on from Short Movie (#30 Mar. ’15). Marling’s first chart appearance was with I Speak Because I Can (#7 Mar. ’10).

#44: Colin Hay ‘Fierce Mercy’ – Former Men At Work front man and ARIA Hall Of Fame member Colin Hay scores his first solo appearance in the ARIA top 50 with Fierce Mercy. It’s Hay’s thirteenth solo album and the follow-up to 2015’s Next Year People.
