A Star Is Born Soundtrack hits fifth week at #1

Debuts for Michael Bublé, Mumford & Sons, Little Mix and more!

It’s week five at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s soundtrack to A Star Is Born.
 
As he debuts at #2 with Love, Michael Buble has also jumped up 14 spots to #16 with Christmas.
 
Human Nature’s The Christmas Album moves up nine places to #28.
 
In the week they’ve announced an Australian tour for early-2019, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have returned to the chart at #30 with Greatest Hits.

Debuts:
 
#2: Michael Bublé ‘Love’ – Canadian crooner Michael Bublé takes out an eighth Top Three entry on the ARIA Albums Chart with Love. The follow-up to Nobody But Me (#2 Nov. ’16) is Bublé’s tenth studio album and features standards as well as newly-written material. Bublé has had five #1s on the ARIA Albums Chart including Christmas which sits at #16 this week.
 
#4: Soundtrack ‘The Greatest Showman: Reimagined’ – A collection of contemporary artists present their interpretations of tracks on the soundtrack to The Greatest Showman on The Greatest Showman: Reimagined. The collection includes tracks recorded by Panic! At The Disco, Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Years & Years, Jess Glynne, Missy Elliott and more. P!nk’s version of ‘A Million Dreams’ has already hit the Singles Chart; this week it’s at #27. The original soundtrack to The Greatest Showman has moved back up the chart this week to #9.
 
#5: Mumford & Sons ‘Delta’ – British folk-rock band Mumford & Sons release their first album in three years, Delta. It’s the group’s fourth studio album and the follow-up to Wilder Mind (#1 May ’15). Between albums, Mumford & Sons released the EP Johannesburg in collaboration with Senegalese singer Baaba Maal, South African pop group Beatenberg, and Malawian-British singer-producer combo, The Very Best.
 
#8: Little Mix ‘LM5’ – With their fifth studio album, British girl group Little Mix take out a fifth Top Ten entry on the ARIA Albums Chart. LM5 comes two years on from Glory Days (#2 Nov. ’16). It features the single ‘Woman Like Me’ (#23 Oct. ’18).
 
#14: Mark Knopfler ‘Down The Road Wherever’ – Former Dire Straits front man Mark Knopfler releases ninth solo album, Down The Road Wherever. Coming three years on from Tracker (#12 Mar. ’15), it’s Knopfler’s eighth solo album to chart in the ARIA Top 50.
 
#15: Mariah Carey ‘Caution’ – The venerable Mariah Carey returns with 15th studio album, Caution. The album’s is Carey’s first studio album since Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse (#5 Jun. ’14) and includes collaborations with Timbaland, Skrillex, Ty Dolla Sign, Blood Orange and more. Between studio releases, Carey put on the compilation #1 To Infinity (#18 Jun. ’15).
 
#18: Kip Moore ‘Room To Spare: The Acoustic Sessions’ – Kip Moore hits the chart with EP Room To Spare: The Acoustic Sessions. It’s the third Top 50 entry for the American country singer-songwriter. Moore scored a Top Ten entry last year with third album, Slowheart (#6 Sept. ’17).
 
#20: Anderson .Paak ‘Oxnard’ – Anderson .Paak makes his ARIA Top 50 debut with Oxnard. The album is the American R&B artist’s third studio release and features a host of guests including Kendrick Lama, Dr Dre, J Cole, Q-Tip, Pusha T and more. Paak previously released the studio albums Venice (2014) and Malibu (2016).
 
#32: Roy Orbison ‘Unchained Melodies’ – Roy Orbison gets the orchestral treatment again on Unchained Melodies: Roy Orbison & The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The follow-up to A Love So Beautiful (#9 Nov. ’17) includes new arrangements of Orbison classics including ‘Blue Bayou’, ‘She’s A Mystery To Me’, ‘California Blue’ and more. The album also features additional accompaniment from Orbison's three sons and backing vocals from their wives and children.
 
#47: Mark Vincent ‘The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year’ – Classical crossover artist Mark Vincent releases his first Christmas album, The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year. The album is Vincent’s ninth release to hit the ARIA Top 50 and the first since A Tribute To Mario Lanza (#3 Apr. ’17). It includes duets with Marina Prior and Russell Watson.
