Queensland singer-songwriter Amy Shark takes out her first #1 on the ARIA Charts with debut album, Love Monster. Featuring ‘Adore’ (#3 Feb. ’17) and ‘I Said Hi’ (#6 Jun. ’18), the album is Shark’s second Albums Chart appearance, following the Night Thinker EP (#2 May ’17). It features Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 on the track ‘Psycho’.

Love Monster is the seventh Australian #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2018 after 5 Seconds Of Summer’s Youngblood, Sheppard’s Watching The Sky, Parkway Drive’s Reverence, Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu’s Djarimirri (Child Of The Rainbow), Kylie Minogue’s Golden and Vance Joy’s Nation Of Two.

Kendrick Lamar’s fourth studio album DAMN jumps up ten spots to #19 as his national tour heads into its second week, including an appearance at Splendour in the Grass.

Vance Joy’s Nation of Two also jumps back up the charts 12 spots to #21.

The Carters’ Everything Is Love re-enters the top 50 this week at #26; as well as the late Slim Dusty’s The Very Best Of, which also jumps back in at #31.

Other notable re-appearances include Shawn Mendes’ Illuminate and Maroon 5’s Singles Collection at #50.


Debuts:

#4: Soundtrack ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ – The soundtrack to Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again hits the chart in the same week the film is released. The follow-up to Mamma Mia! (#1 Jul. ’08) features performances of ABBA songs by the cast, which includes Lily James, Amanda Seyfried, Julie Walters, Meryl Streep, Cher, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and more.

#6: Adam Brand ‘Milestones...20 Years’ – Adam Brand celebrates two decades since his self-titled debut (#44 Feb. ’99) with Milestones...20 Years. The two disc set features tracks from throughout the country artist’s career, including from his five Top Ten studio albums, Blame It On Eve (#10 Jan. ’08), There Will Be Love (#4 Aug. ’12), My Side Of The Street (#5 Aug. ’14), Adam Brand And The Outlaws (#6 Jan. ’16) and Get On Your Feet (#7 Feb. ’17).

#18: The Babe Rainbow ‘Double Rainbow’ – Byron Bay psych rockers The Babe Rainbow makes their ARIA Top 50 debut with Double Rainbow. The album is the group’s second studio album and comes just over a year on from their self-titled debut.
