Drake replaces himself at #1

Debuts for Cardi B, Zayn, Amy Shark and more!

Drake has taken over from himself at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Nice For What’. The track, which debuted at #7 last week, ends the run of ‘God’s Plan’, which held #1 for 11 consecutive weeks. It’s the Canadian rapper’s third #1 single in Australia, having also previously topped the chart for seven weeks with ‘One Dance’ (#1 May ’16).

After debuting at #17 last week, ‘One Kiss’ by Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa moves up eight spots to crack the Top Ten in its second week on the chart at #9. It becomes Harris’ 14th Top Ten as lead artist and Dua Lipa’s fourth Top Ten entry.

In its fifth week in the Top 50, Noah Kahan & Julia Michaels ‘Hurt Somebody’ climbs up four spots to a new peak of #16.

A week on from debuting at #36, American metal band Bad Wolves move up ten spots to #26 with their take on The Cranberries’ ‘Zombie’.

There are also new peaks on the Singles Chart this week for Justin Timberlake’s ‘Say Something’ (#18), BlocBoy JB’s ‘Look Alive’ (#24), Robinson’s ‘Nothing To Regret’ (#27), Kygo’s ‘Remind Me To Forget’ (#37), King Princess’ ‘1950’ (#43) and Rich The Kid’s ‘Plug Walk’ (#45).

Debuts:

#25: Cardi B Feat. J Balvin & Bad Bunny ‘I Like It’ – After making her debut on the Albums Chart last week with Invasion Of Privacy (#5 Apr. ’18), Cardi B scores a second Top 50 entry on the Singles Chart with ‘I Like It’. The track becomes the American rapper’s highest peak to date, taking over form ‘Bodak Yellow’ (#33 Nov. ’17).

#29: Zayn ‘Let Me’ – Zayn Malik returns to the Singles Chart for the first time in 2018 with ‘Let Me’. The follow-up to ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ (#67 Oct. ’17) is the second track to be released from Zayn’s forthcoming second solo album

#38: Amy Shark ‘I Said Hi’ – Amy Shark releases ‘I Said Hi’, the first single from her forthcoming debut album. It becomes the Gold Coast singer-songwriter’s second Top 50 entry, following ‘Adore’ (#3 Feb. ’17). Shark performed at the Closing Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games this week along with Archie Roach.

#41: Nicki Minaj ‘Barbie Tingz’ – Nicki Minaj returns to the Top 50 as a lead artist for the first time since 2014 with ‘Barbie Tingz’. It’s one of two tracks released by the American rapper this week, along with ‘Chun-Li’. Minaj’s last chart appearance as lead artist was with ‘Bed Of Lies’ (#7 Dec. ’14).

#46: 5 Seconds Of Summer ‘Youngblood’ – Sydney band 5 Seconds Of Summer score their second chart entry for 2018 with ‘Youngblood’. It’s the title track of the band’s third album, which is due in June. The first track from the album to chart was ‘Want You Back’ (#32 Mar. ’18).
