Fourth week at #1 for the A Star Is Born soundtrack

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s soundtrack to A Star Is Born holds #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for a fourth consecutive week. The duo’s track ‘Shallow’ has dropped back to #2 on the Singles Chart.
 
Three Queen albums remain in the Top Ten this week: Bohemian Rhapsody (#2), Greatest Hits (#3) and The Platinum Collection (#6). The collection Greatest Hits II has jumped from #26 to #20.
 
The 1968 self-titled double album by The Beatles, colloquially known as The White Album, has returned to the chart this week at #10. Its resurgence comes on the back of a reissue to mark its 50th anniversary which includes bonus discs of outtakes and the fabled Esher Demos.
 
With the DVD release of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, its soundtrack has moved back up eleven spots to #23.
 
Billie Eilish’s debut EP Don’t Smile At Me climbs up nine spots in its ninth week in the chart. This week it’s at #24.
 
In its third week in the Top 50, David Campbell’s Baby It’s Christmas moves up eleven spots to claim a new peak at #25.
 
At #30, perennial festive favourite and former #1 several times over, Christmas by Michael Bublé, has re-entered the chart for a 63rd week.

#4: Imagine Dragons ‘Origins’ – With Origins, their fourth studio album, American band Imagine Dragons score their fourth #4 peak on the ARIA Albums Chart. The follow-up to Evolve (#4 Jul. ’17) features the singles ‘Natural’ (#28 Sept. ’18) and ‘Bad Liar’ (#35 Nov. ’18). Some versions also include the band’s collaboration with Norwegian DJ Kygo, ‘Born To Be Yours’ (#18 Aug. ’18). Imagine Dragons have also peaked at #4 with Night Visions (#4 Aug. ’13) and Smoke + Mirrors (#4 Feb. ’15). Evolve re-enters the chart this week at #47.
 
#5: Midnight Oil ‘Armistice Day: Live At The Domain, Sydney’ – ARIA Hall Of Famers Midnight Oil chronicle their reunion tour with Armistice Day: Live At The Domain, Sydney. Recorded in The Domain in Sydney on 11 November 2017, the album features many of the band’s best-known tracks including ‘The Dead Heart’ (#4 Aug. ’86), ‘Beds Are Burning’ (#6 Sept. ’87) and ‘Blue Sky Mine’ (#8 Mar. ’90). Midnight Oil have previously charted with the live albums Scream In Blue (#3 May ’92) and The Real Thing (#7 Jul. ’00).
 
#7: Muse ‘Simulation Theory’ – Returning with eighth studio album, Simulation Theory, British rock band Muse take out a fifth entry in the ARIA Top Ten. The album is the follow-up to Drones (#1 Jun. ’15). Muse have also previously topped the chart with Black Holes And Revelations (#1 Jul. ’06) and The Resistance (#1 Sept. ’09).
 
#8: Architects ‘Holy Hell’ – British metalcore band Architects take out a second Top Ten entry with Holy Hell. The group’s eighth album comes two years on from All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us (#2 Jun. ’16) and is the first to be released without founding member and main songwriter Tom Searle, who passed away in August 2016.
 
#9: Ziggy Alberts ‘Laps Around The Sun’ – Ziggy Alberts makes his ARIA Top 50 debut with Laps Around The Sun. It’s the fifth album released by the Australian singer-songwriter. He’ll be touring nationally across the summer.
 
#15: Lil Peep ‘Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2’ – Lil Peep gets a posthumous release with Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2. The late rapper’s second album was delayed after his death in November 2017 but ended up being released in time for the first anniversary of his passing. Some editions of the album include ‘Falling Down’, a virtual collaboration with the late XXXTentacion (#7 Oct. ’18).
 
#33: Kane Brown ‘Experiment’ – American country artist Kane Brown make his Top 50 debut with Experiment. The singer-songwriter’s second album comes two years on from his self-titled debut, which peaked at #5 in the US.
 
#36: Trippie Redd ‘A Love Letter To You 3’ – Rapper Trippie Redd scores a second entry on the ARIA Albums Chart in 218 with A Love Letter To You 3. The mixtape comes three months after Redd released his debut album, Life’s A Trip (#14 Aug. ’18) and includes contributions from Juice Wrld and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, among others.
 
#50: Jonas Blue ‘Blue’ – English DJ/producer Jonas Blue releases his debut album, Blue. The release features the Top Ten singles ‘Fast Car’ (#1 Feb. ’16), ‘Perfect Strangers’ (#6 Aug. ’16), ‘Mama’ (#7 Oct. ’18) and ‘Rise’ (#7 Oct. ’18)
