Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again holds #1 for second week

Debuts for Adam Harvey, Golden Features, Tim Campbell and more!

The soundtrack to Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again holds on to the #1 position on the ARIA Albums Chart for a second straight week. The film is currently #1 at the Australian box office.

As her Australian tour finishes its first week, Celine Dion’s hits collection The Best So Far...2018 Tour Edition moves up seven spots to hit a new peak at #4.

Following the announcement of a January/February 2019 tour in support of the album, Keith Urban’s tenth studio album Graffiti U climbs back up 27 spots on this week’s chart.

Rolling into the second month of her Australian tour, P!nk has two more albums in the Top 50 this week with The Truth About Love and Funhouse re-entering at #38 and #49, respectively.

Also in the country for a run of shows, Katy Perry re-enters the Top 50 this week at #47 with Witness.

Debuts:

#9: Adam Harvey ‘The Nashville Tapes’ – Country star Adam Harvey releases his tenth studio album, The Nashville Tapes. Recorded with producer Nash Chambers in the US country music capital, it takes inspiration from Harvey’s love of 1970s country that came out of the city. The new album comes just over a year on from the collaboration with Beccy Cole, The Great Country Songbook Vol. II (#6 May ’17).

#11: Golden Features ‘Sect’ – Sydney producer Golden Features makes his debut on the ARIA Albums Chart with Sect. It’s the debut album for the artist otherwise known as Tom Stell. He’s previously released several EPs and remixed the likes of The Presets and Flume.

#15: Tim Campbell ‘Electrifying 80s: Stock Aitken Waterman – Singer/actor Tim Campbell pays tribute to three of the biggest hit-makers of the 80s with Electrifying 80s: Stock Aitken Waterman. The follow-up to High School Disco (#25 Apr. ’14) sees Campbell covering songs made famous by Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Bananarama, Dead Or Alive, Jason Donovan and more.

#16: Halestorm ‘Vicious’ – After scoring their first Top 50 entry last year with ReAniMate 3.0: The CoVeRs eP (#30 Jan. ’17), Halestorm hit the chart for the first time with an album, debuting with Vicious. The album is the American hard rock band’s fourth studio album, coming three years on from the last album, Into The Wild Life.

#17: The Screaming Jets ‘Gotcha Covered’ – The Screaming Jets take on 15 Australian rock classics on Gotcha Covered. The eighth album from the Newcastle band sees them covering tracks by You Am I, The Easybeats, Dragon, Goanna, INXS and more. It becomes the eighth Screaming Jets release to chart in the Top 50.

#27: Denzel Curry ‘TA1300’ – With TA1300, his third album, American rapper Denzel Curry picks up his first Top 50 appearance. The Florida-born artist released his first album, Nostalgic 64, in 2016 and second album, Imperial in 2016. TA1300 plays out across three acts.

#29: Kirsty Lee Akers ‘Under My Skin’ – Newcastle country artist Kirsty Lee Akers makes her ARIA Top 50 debut with Under My Skin. The album is the singer-songwriter’s fifth studio release and the follow-up to 2016’s Burn Baby Burn.

#40: Daughtry ‘Cage To Rattle’ – American rock band Daughtry return to the ARIA Top 50 for the first time since 2011 with Cage To Rattle. The group’s fifth studio album is the follow-up to 2013’s Baptized. They last charted with Break The Spell (#32 Nov. ’11) and scored their highest peak with Leave This Town (#21 Jul. ’09).

#42: Aled Jones ‘One Voice: Believe’ – Welsh vocalist Aled Jones Takes out a fourth Albums Chart entry with One Voice: Believe. It’s the third and final installment of Jones’ One Voice album series, following One Voice (#13 May ’17) and One Voice At Christmas. The new album features Jones performing duets with his younger self, as well as with his son Lucas.

#50: RL Grime ‘Nova’ – Trap producer RL Grime takes out his debut on the ARIA Albums Chart with Nova. It’s the second album released under the RL Grime moniker by LA artist Henry Steinway. It features appearances from Julia Michaels, Miguel, Ty Dolla $ign and more.
