Sheryl Crow - Tuesday Night Music Club

Releasing her debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club, American singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow spent two weeks at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in June 1995. Debuting at #42 in October 1994, the album hit #1 for the first time in its 33rd week on the chart. In total, Tuesday Night Music Club spent 11 weeks in the Top Ten and 53 weeks in the Top 50.

Singles released from the album included the ‘All I Wanna Do’ (#1 Dec. ’94), ‘Strong Enough’ (#3 May ’95) and ‘Can't Cry Anymore’ (#41 Aug. ’95).

Hitting #14 on the 1995 ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart, Tuesday Night Music Club was accredited 3x Platinum.

Sheryl Crow later charted with the albums Sheryl Crow (#14 Oct. ’96), C'mon C'mon (#40 Apr. ’02).

Merril Bainbridge  Mouth

‘Mouth’ was the debut single released by Melbourne singer-songwriter Merril Bainbridge. It spent six consecutive weeks in the top spot in 1995. The single came from her debut album The Garden (#5 Aug. ’95). The single debuted at #42 in April 1995 and landed at #1 for the first time in its seventh week on the chart. ‘Mouth spent a total of 14 weeks in the Top Ten and 21 weeks in the Top 50.

Receiving a Platinum accreditation, ‘Mouth’ was #4 on the ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart in 1995, the highest place for an Australian artist. It also peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.

Bainbridge scored five ARIA Award nominations in 1995. She was nominated for three further ARIAs the following year.

Bainbridge later charted with the singles ‘Under The Water’ (#4 Aug. ’95), ‘Power Of One’ (#21 Dec. '95), and ‘Lonely’ (#40 Jun. ’98).
