ARIA DJ Of The Week: Mind Electric

Meet the globetrotting Perth DJ.

Handpicked by America’s #1 dance act KASKADE to support massive DJ tours sure is one way to get noticed on the world  Electronic  Dance  Music  stage!  Alongside  Pendulum,  Mind  Electric  is  widely  regarded  as  one  of  Western Australia’s most successful dance music exports after being discovered by Australia’s leading electronic dance music label, Vicious Recordings in  2006. Since then  Mind Electric’s  career has surged ahead with  a  prolific volume of productions, together with heavy club and festival touring throughout Australasia and abroad, including landing a coveted residency with the world-renowned club brand Marquee, supporting Avicii, Paul Oakenfold, Chris Lake & Kaskade.

Mind Electric hit the ground running with debut single Dirty Cash released on Vicious & Incentive UK. This was followed by club-bangers such as Electrify, Infinity (personally approved by Guru Josh), Sweat and Rock da House – all with plenty of spins and chart support from Laidback Luke and David Guetta. In 2010, the Mind Electric cover of 3AM Eternal was approved by original artists The KLF, for the first time ever. With over 70+ remixes (including official remixes for No. 1 charting Pop Artists Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy etc) and so many original bombs, Mind Electric has gained vast support from esteemed DJs like Hardwell, Chainsmokers, Kryder, Markus Schulz and EDX. In 2016 his club hit “Praise You” skyrocketed up to No.2 on the ARIA TOP 50 Club Tracks Chart further cementing his name onto the scene after 10 years.

In 2013 Mind Electric left the shores of Australia, lived in Las Vegas before finally deciding to call the cosmopolitan German city of Hamburg his home for several years. The move to Europe has influenced his DJ sets dramatically and his sound has evolved into a more melodic feel good house with a twist of future house to keep the vibes fresh and edgy. He had DJ residences in some of Europe’s most reputable clubs while maintaining his busy production schedule.

2019 sees M.E returning to Australia once again and now resides in the sunny city of Perth.

On the production tip, his recent collaboration with Australia’s no 1 charting producer Jolyon Petch and New Zealand’s record-breaking number 1 artist Kings is titled “Only You” and sat high in the Australia & NZ Spotify viral charts, ARIA Club charts and is received plenty of air time on Commercial Radio & TV in New Zealand and MTV Australia. His most recent single “Warning” received great chart and DJ support and keep an eye for his alter ego MED33P which is a deeper darker vibed project which spawned from the German Club scene. After smashing out some massively supported remixes MED33P’s debut single “THIS JAM” reached no. 15 on Aria Club Charts with support from Benny Benassi, Chuckie, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Joe Stone , Sander Kleinenberg and Sister Bliss and many more.
