Eleven weeks at #1 for Lil Nas X's Old Town Road

Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’ holds #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for an eleventh week. This now puts the American rapper level with Bryan Adams’ ‘Everything I Do (I Do It For You)’ (#1 Jul. ’91), the Spice Girls’ ‘Wannabe’ (#1 Nov. ’96) and Drake’s ‘God’s Plan’ (#1 Feb. ’18) for weeks spent in the top spot.
 
In its seventh week in the Top 50, ‘Piece Of Your Heart’ by Italian trio Meduza moves up two spots to claim another new peak at #7.
 
Jumping up ten spots to #10 in its fourth week in the Top 50, ‘Choir’ becomes Guy Sebastian’s first appearance in the ARIA Singles Chart Top Ten since ‘Like A Drum’ (#4 Nov. ’13).
 
Lil Nas X has moved up two to hit #15 with ‘Panini’.
 
‘Dance Monkey’, Tones And I’s second single, climbs 14 spots to land a new peak at #17. This week it’s one spot below her first charting single ‘Johnny Run Away’, which sits at #16.
 
Blanco Brown’s ‘The Git Up’ continues its climb up the chart, moving up eight this week to #19.
 
After dropping to as low as #29, Lizzo’s ‘Truth Hurts’ returns to its previous peak of #21 after the American announced her first Australian tour.
 
This week’s chart also includes new peaks for Ali Gatie’s ‘It’s You’ (#22) and The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha’s ‘Call You Mine’ (#28).

#4: Ed Sheeran Feat. Khalid ‘Beautiful People’ – Ahead of the release of his album No.6 Collaborations Project next week, Ed Sheeran scores a third Singles Chart entry from it with ‘Beautiful People’. Featuring American artist Khalid, the track follows the album’s previous singles – ‘I Don’t Care’ (#1 May ’19) and ‘Cross Me’ (#5 Jun. ’19) – into the Top Ten.
 
#20: Chris Brown Feat. Justin Bieber ‘Don’t Check On Me’ – With his album Indigo debuting at #3, Chris Brown takes out a new Singles Chart entry with the Justin Bieber-featured ‘Don't Check On Me’. It’s the second single to chart from the album after ‘No Guidance’ (#7 Jun. ’19).
 
#34: Kygo & Whitney Houston ‘Higher Love’ – Norwegian DJ Kygo hits the chart with his remix of Whitney Houston’s version of Steve Winwood’s ‘Higher Love’. Houston’s version of the track originally appeared as a Japan-only bonus track on her 1990 album I’m Your Baby Tonight (#10 Dec. ’90). Winwood peaked at #8 in September 1986 with his original; a cover by Irish artist James Vincent McMorrow peaked at #35 in April 2013.
 
#45: Marshmello Feat. Kane Brown ‘One Thing Right’ – American DJ Marshmello takes out a sixth Top 50 entry with ‘One Thing Right’. Featuring American country singer Kane Brown, the track is MArshmello’s second to hit the chart in 2019 after ‘Here With Me’ (#9 Apr. ’19).
