Lil Nas X notches up eighth week at #1 with Old Town Road

Debuts for Tones And I, Avicii, Guy Sebastian and more!

It’s week eight at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for American rapper Lil Nas X and his track ‘Old Town Road’.
 
As their comeback release Happiness Begins debuts at #3 on this week’s Albums Chart, the Jonas Brothers’ former #1 ‘Sucker’ jumps up four spots to #8, returning to the Top Ten for a 14th week.
 
Melbourne singer-songwriter Tones And I has double the reason to celebrate this week. As well as jumping up four spots to #12 with ‘Johnny Run Away’, she also takes out her second Top 50 entry at #43 with new single, ‘Dance Monkey’.
 
In its fourth week in the Top 50, ‘Piece Of Your Heart’ by Italian production trio MeduZa jumps up nine spots to hit a new peak at #14.
 
After debuting last week at #25, Miley Cyrus moves up four spots to take out a new peak at #21 with ‘Mother’s Daughter’.
 
This week’s Singles Chart also features new peaks for OneRepublic’s ‘Rescue Me’ (#30), Stormzy’s ‘Vossi Bop’ (#34), Ruel’s ‘Painkiller’ (#35) and YG’s ‘Go Loko’ (#41).

#17: Chris Brown Feat. Drake ‘No Guidance’ – American artist Chris Brown makes his first appearance as a lead artist on the Singles Chart since 2015 with ‘No Guidance’. Featuring Drake, the track comes from Brown’s forthcoming studio album, Indigo. Brown last charted with his collaboration with DJ Deorro, ‘Five More Hours’ (#7 Jun. ’15).
 
#20: Avicii ‘Heaven’ – As well as hitting the Albums Chart at #6 with TIM, Avicii charts with new single, ‘Heaven’. It’s the second track to come from the album after ‘SOS’ (#7 May ’19) and features vocals by Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
 
#32: The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha ‘Call You Mine’ – EDM duo The Chainsmokers take out a second Top 50 entry for 2019 with ‘Call You Mine’. Featuring vocals by Bebe Rexha, it comes from the American pair’s forthcoming third album, World War Joy. The Chainsmokers previously charted with their collaboration with 5 Seconds Of Summer, ‘Who Do You Love’ (#13 Mar. ’19).
 
#38: Guy Sebastian ‘Choir’ – After peaking at #43 in January with ‘Before I Go’, Guy Sebastian takes out a second chart entry for the year with ‘Choir’. The single’s entry comes in the same week Sebastian was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours in recognition of his "significant service to the music industry and charitable initiatives".
 
#43: Tones And I ‘Dance Monkey’ – Melbourne artist Tones And I notches up a second Top 50 entry with ‘Dance Monkey’. It’s her second single and its entry comes as debut entry ‘Johnny Run Away’ hits a new peak at #12.
 
#44: Luke Combs ‘Beer Never Broke My Heart’ – American country artist Luke Combs makes his Top 50 debut with ‘Beer Never Broke My Heart’. The track comes from Combs’ EP, The Prequel, the follow-up to his debut album, This One’s For You (#7 Mar. ’19).
 
#50: Tyga Feat. J Balvin & Chris Brown ‘Haute’ – Tyga hit the Singles Chart with ‘Haute’. The track comes from the American rapper’s seventh album, Legendary, which has debuted at #12 this week.
