Michael Bublé leads the Christmas Albums Chart

Her second year in a row at the top.

#1: Michael Bub ‘Christmas’Christmas by Michael Bublé returns to the #1 spot in the ARIA Albums Chart for the sixth time. It is a record no other album has ever achieved, with six separate times at #1 over different years. The album was first released in 2011 where it peaked at #1 for the first time. Bublé has four other #1 albums to his name, including Michael Bublé (#1, May ‘04), Call Me Irresponsible (#1, Jul ‘07), Crazy Love (#1, Oct ’09) and To Be Loved (#1, Apr 2013).
 
#3: Robbie Williams ‘The Christmas Present’ – Robbie Williams is unable to dethrone Bublé as the king of Christmas, with his new Christmas album remaining at #2. It is one of nine Christmas albums in this week’s ARIA Chart. It remains to be seen if Williams can make this album a yearly favourite.

#4: Billie Eilish – ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ – Jumping eight spots and into #4 is Billie Eilish’s album, one of the biggest hits of 2019. The album has not been in the top 5 since September. Her debut album Don’t Smile At Me also returns to the chart at #41.
 
#19: Human Nature ‘The Christmas Album’ – This year’s ARIA Hall Of Fame inductees Human Nature score the highest charting Australian Christmas album of the year with The Christmas Album. First released in 2013, it peaked at #4 that year and has returned to the ARIA Albums Chart Top 50 every year since. It’s the second appearance for Human Nature in the chart, with their new collection Still Telling Everybody: 30 Years Of Hits at #12.
 
#32: Cats: Highlights From The Motion Picture Soundtrack (Debut) – the big screen adaptation of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical has hit Australian cinemas, and pushes the soundtrack to debut at #31. The cast features popular singers like Taylor Swift, James Corden and Jason Derulo. Critics have not been kind to the film so far, but that was also true with The Greatest Showman, whose soundtrack has gone on to sell 3x platinum.
