Tones And I equals ARIA Australian record

Moves for Marshmello, Blanco Brown, 5SOS and more!

Holding #1 for a ninth consecutive week, Tones And I’s ‘Dance Monkey’ equals the record for most weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart an Australian artist. The singer-songwriter joins Sydney act Justice Crew, who spent nine weeks in the top spot in 2014 with ‘Que Sera’. Her latest achievement comes in the same weekend Tones And I appears as part of the pre-game entertainment at the AFL Grand Final. ‘Dance Monkey’ has now reached #1 in ten countries. All eyes are on next week to see if she can break the ARIA Singles Chart record for an Australian artist.

Marshmello’s ‘One Thing Right’ jumps up two spots to claim a new peak at #4. It’s the track’s twelfth week in the Top 50. It’s the American producer’s sixth Top Ten single.

As it notches up its ninth week in the Top Ten, Blanco Brown’s ‘The Git Up’ cracks the Top Five for the first time, moving up two spots to #5.

Climbing up three spots to #15, 5 Seconds Of Summer’s ‘Teeth’ hits a new peak as it sits in the Top 50 for a fifth straight week.

In its 21st week in the Top 50, Lizzo’s ‘Truth Hurts’ returns to #15, the peak it previously hit in mid-July. The American singer/rapper/flautist’s other current chart entry, ‘Good As Hell’, has moved up eight spots this week to hit a new peak at #23.

This week’s chart also includes new peaks for Halsey’s ‘Graveyard’ (#31), blackbear’s ‘Hot Girl Bummer’ (#38) and Jonas Brothers’ ‘Only Human’ (#40).
