#1 debut for Melbourne's Teskey Brothers

Debuts also for Polo G, Future, Jason Isbell and more!

Releasing the live album Live At The Forum, Melbourne four-piece The Teskey Brothers become the seventh Australian act to debut at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2020.

Josh Teskey, of the Teskey Brothers, said on receiving the news: “We are completely gobsmacked to reach the number one spot. I guess it just goes to show how much everyone misses attending gigs right now!”

Dan Rosen, CEO of ARIA, said: “Congratulations to The Teskey Brothers, and their entire team, on their first Number One ARIA album with Live At The Forum. They blew the roof off the place at last year's ARIA Awards, and are one of the best live bands in the country. To see a live album top the ARIA Chart during these restricted times just goes to show how much we all crave the live music experience. As we look to get the live music industry back on its feet, we cannot wait to see Aussie bands like The Teskey Brothers return to venues and festival stages around the country.”

The band’s previous album, Run Home Slow, returns to the chart this week at #20.

Live At The Forum is the first live album by an Australian band to top the ARIA Charts since AC/DC’s Live (#1 Nov. ’92).

Luke Combs’ surge up the chart continues: What You See Is What You Get jumps four to #7, while This One’s For You is up five to #9.

It’s the ninth consecutive year the Eurovision soundtrack has charted in the Top 50, with the highest charting being Eurovision Song Contest 2015 Vienna (#4 Jun. ’15). Eurovision 2021 will be held in Rotterdam, with Montaigne representing Australia with a new song.
