Moves by Elton John, Cold Chisel, Lizzo and more!

Releasing Rare, her third solo album, Selena Gomez takes out her first #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart (more below).
 
As the shows on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour roll on, Elton John has jumped four spots to #4 with career-spanning hits collection Diamonds. In its 61st week in the Top 50, it’s one spot below its previous peak.
 
Continuing their massive summer tour, Cold Chisel jump back up seven spots to #10 with previous #1 Blood Moon. After a run of dates in Victoria, this week the tour heads to NSW. Blood Moon also tops the ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart this week.
 
Wrapping up her first tour of Australia this week, American star Lizzo climbs eleven spots to hit a new peak at #19 with third album. Released in April 2019, Cuz I Love You previously peaked at #26 in October.
 
As his single ‘The Box’ moves into the Top Ten for the first time, Roddy Ricch’s Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial has moved up three to a new peak at #30.

#1: Selena Gomez ‘Rare’ – American artist Selena Gomez scores her first #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart as Rare debuts in the top spot. Gomez’s third solo is her first since Revival (#3 Oct. ’15) and features the singles ‘Lose You To Love Me’ (#2 Nov. ’19) and ‘Look At Her Now’ (#29 Nov. ’19). The album’s title track has debuted at #23 on this week’s Singles Chart.
 
#6: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard ‘Live In Adelaide ’19’ – Melbourne seven-piece King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard score an impressive three debuts in on this week’s Top 50, including two in the Top Ten. Recorded live during the band’s world tour last year, proceeds from the sale of Live In Adelaide ’19, Live In Paris ’19 (#9) and Live In Brussels ’19 (#34) go towards bushfire relief charities. The band have increased their tally of Top Ten albums to nine, and also holds the top two spots in the ARIA Australian Artists Albums Chart.
