Following the surprise release of his eleventh studio album, Eminem has scored a tenth #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with Music To Be Murdered By (more below).
 
Eminem’s previous releases Curtain Call: The Hits and Kamikaze return to this week’s chart at #43 and #44, respectively.
 
Dean Lewis’ ARIA-winning former #1 album, A Place We Knew, moves up five spots to #22.
 
G Flip’s About Us moves back up from #46 to #39.

#1: Eminem ‘Music To Be Murdered By’ – Eminem takes out his tenth #1 album in Australia with the surprise release Music To Be Murdered By. Released last Friday with no prior warning, the American hip hop star’s eleventh studio album features collaborations with Ed Sheeran, Juice WRLD, Skylar Grey, Q-Tip, Anderson .Paak and more. Five tracks from Music To Be Murdered By have made it into this week’s ARIA Top 50.
 
Eminem has also topped the ARIA Albums Chart with The Marshall Mathers LP (#1 Mar. ’01), The Eminem Show (#1 Jun. ’02), Encore (#1 Nov. ’04), Curtain Call: The Hits (#1 Dec. ’05), Relapse (#1 May ’09), Recovery (#1 Jun. ’10), The Marshall Mathers LP2 (#1 Nov. ‘13) and Kamikaze (#1 Sept. ’18).
 
#2: Halsey ‘Manic’ – American singer-songwriter Halsey scores her third consecutive #2 album on the ARIA Charts with Manic. Halsey’s third studio album includes the singles ‘Without Me’ (#2 Dec. ’18), ‘Graveyard’ (#24 Oct. ’19) and ‘You Should Be Sad’ (#15 Jan. ’20). She performed ‘Graveyard’ at the 2019 ARIA Awards last November. Halsey has previously charted with the albums Badlands (#2 Sept. ’15) and Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (#2 Jun. ’17).
 
#3: Mac Miller ‘Circles’ – The late Mac Miller snares his highest chart peak with the posthumous release Circles. Miller’s sixth album becomes his second Top Ten release after Swimming (#7 Sept. ’18), released a month before his death in September 2018. The Circles single ‘Good News’ has jumped up 16 spots this week to #27.
 
#26: Magic Dirt ‘Life Was Better’ – Following its reissue, Magic Dirt’s 1994 EP Life Was Better makes its ARIA Albums Chart debut. First released by the Geelong band in November 1994, it originally hit #71 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Owing to a change in the chart rules since, it now qualifies for the Albums Chart. It’s debuted at #1 on this week’s ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart.
