Third week at #1 for The Weeknd

Moves by Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch, Halsey and more!

‘Blinding Lights’ by Canadian artist The Weeknd holds the top spot on the ARIA Singles Chart for a third straight week. The track has also gone to #1 in multiple European markets including Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium.
 
Following the announcement of her second album, Future Nostalgia (set for release in April), Dua Lipa jumps back up to #2 with ‘Don’t Start Now’. It previously hit #2 for two weeks in December 2019 and again for another two weeks in January of this year. A new Dua Lipa single, ‘Physical’, debuts this week at #30.
 
Dropping back one spot to #6 last week, Roddy Ricch’s ‘The Box’ climbs two spots to hit a new peak this week at #4.
 
Jumping seven spots to #8, Halsey’s ‘You Should Be Sad’ becomes the American singer-songwriter’s second solo appearance in the Top Ten. She first hit the Top Ten with 'Without Me’ (#2 Dec. ’18).
 
Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi claims his second Top Ten entry with ‘Before You Go’. The single moves up five spots to claim the new peak in its eleventh week in the chart. Capaldi first hit the Top Ten with ‘Someone You Loved’ which spent 20 weeks in the Top Ten, peaking at #4 for three straight weeks in June 2019.
 
As it hits its sixth week in the chart, Benee’s ‘Glitter’ moves up two to claim a new peak at #23. The New Zealand artist’s track hit #19 in the Triple J Hottest 100.
 
There are also new peaks this week for Sam Feldt’s ‘Post Malone’ (#27) No Money Enterprise’s ‘German’ (#37) and Doja Cat’s ‘Say So’ (#43).

#30: Dua Lipa ‘Physical’ – Following the announcement of her second album, Future Nostalgia, Dua Lipa releases the new single ‘Physical’. It’s the album’s second single following ‘Don’t Start Now’ (#2 Dec. ’19), her second single to peak at #2. Future Nostalgia is set for release on 3 April.
 
#31: Taylor Swift ‘Only The Young’ – Taylor Swift scores her first Top 50 entry for 2020 with ‘Only The Young’. The new track features in Swift’s documentary Miss Americana, which premiered on Netflix on 31 January. In the week her seventh album Lover debuted at #1 on the Albums Chart in September 2019, 13 of the album’s tracks appeared in the Top 50.
 
#46: The Rubens ‘Live In Life’ – Menangle band The Rubens could hit the Top 50 with ‘Live In Life’. The track becomes the ARIA-nominated quintet’s third Top 50 appearance following ‘Hoops’ (#9 Feb. ’16) and ‘Never Ever’ (#21 Sept. ’18).
