New chart contenders include Matt Corby, Meghan Trainor, Jeff Buckley and Ariana Grande.

Melbourne’s The Cat Empire currently sit at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart with their second #1, Rising With The Sun. For the fourth straight week, Lukas Graham holds #1 on the Singles Chart with ‘7 Years’.

Who’ll claim the #1s on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Let’s take a look at some of this week’s contenders.

ALBUMs

After two top ten singles over the last five years, Sydney singer-songwriter Matt Corby releases his long-awaited debut album Telluric; the late Jeff Buckley could return to the chart with an album of demo recordings, You And I; American metalcore band Killswitch Engage could pick up their second career top ten thanks to seventh album Incarnate; after making her Singles Chart debut in late 2015 with ‘Here’ (#12 Jan. ’16), Canadian artist Alessia Cara looks set to make her Albums Chart debut with Know-It-All; worship group Bethel Music could pick up a third top 50 appearance with Have It All (Live); 3 Doors Down could be set for their first top 50 appearance since 2004 with Us And The Night; Gaslight Anthem singer Brian Fallon goes it alone with solo debut Painkillers; country singer-songwriter Sara Storer returns with sixth album Silos; Melissa Etheridge could make her first appearance in the ARIA top 50 since 2001 with This Is M.E.; American rap crew Flatbush Zombies could make their debut top 50 appearance with 3001: A Laced Odyssey.

Titles that could move back up the top 50 this week include David Bowie’s Nothing Has Changed (The Best Of David Bowie), Elle King’s Love Stuff and, on the back of her first Australian tour in 23 years, Madonna’s Rebel Heart.

Meghan Trainor will be looking for a high debut with ‘No’, the first single to come from her forthcoming second album Thank You; ‘Dangerous Woman’, the title track from her forthcoming third album, could give Ariana Grande an eighth Single Chart entry; ahead of Mind Of Mine’s release, Zayn looks to pick up a third charting solo single with ‘Like I Would’; American metal band Disturbed’s cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s The Sound Of Silence could give them a second top 50 appearance; with Know-It-All looking set to chart, Alessia Cara could pick up a second Singles Chart entry with ‘Wild Things’; The Chainsmokers will be hoping for a third consecutive top ten with ‘Don't Let Me Down’; Dami Im could snatch her tenth top 50 single with her Eurovision entry ‘Sound Of Silence’.

Singles looking to make their jump up the chart this week include Alan Walker’s ‘Faded’, Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work From Home’, Yo Preston & Kelly Kiara ‘Love Yourself Vs F@*K Yourself’, Elle King’s ‘Ex's & Oh's’ and Samantha Jade’s ‘Always’.
