Missy Higgins - The Sound Of White

Missy Higgins’ debut album became the first of her three #1s to date on the ARIA Albums Chart when it spent seven weeks in the top spot in the second half of 2004 and first half of 2005. The Sound Of White debuted at #1 in September 2004 and held the top spot again the following week. After dropping to as low as #12 over the subsequent sixteen weeks, the album returned to #1 for a four week run in January 2005. It claimed #1 for the final time for a single week in May 2005. In total, The Sound Of White spent 47 weeks in the top ten and 85 weeks in the top 50.

The Sound Of White featured the singles ‘Scar’ (#1 Aug. ’04), ‘Ten Days’ (#12 Jan. ’05), ‘The Special Two’ (#2 Apr. ’05) and 'The Sound Of White' (#22 Aug. ’05). The album was accredited 9x Platinum and was #15 and #1 respectively on the 2004 and 2005 ARIA End Of Year Albums Charts.

The single ‘Scar’ won Best Pop Release at the 2004 ARIA Awards, while The Sound Of White won five ARIAs in 2005: Albums Of The Year, Best Female Artist, Highest Selling Album, Breakthrough Artist – Album and Best Pop release.

Missy Higgins later topped the ARIA Albums Chart with On A Clear Night (#1 May ’07) and The Ol' Razzle Dazzle (#1 Jun. ’12). She last charted with Oz (#3 Sept. ’14).

Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved

Maroon 5’s only #1 to date on the ARIA Singles Chart came when ‘She Will Be Loved’ spent five weeks at the peak during September and October 2005. Taken from the album Songs About Jane (#1 Oct. ’04), the band’s third single to appear in the ARIA top 50 debuted at #4 in August and claimed #1 for the first time in its third week on the chart. It spent four straight weeks at #1 in its initial run, then dropped back to #2 for a week before returning to #1 for a final time.

‘She Will Be Loved’ spent 12 weeks in the top ten and 16 weeks in the top 50. The single received a Platinum accreditation and was #13 on the 2004 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart.

Maroon 5 last charted with the single ‘Sugar’ (#6 Mar. ’15).
