Smashing Pumpkins - Adore

The fourth studio album from the Smashing Pumpkins gave the American band their second #1 when it debuted at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart in June 1998. The follow-up to Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness (#1 Oct. ’95) spent one week at #1, four weeks in the top ten and 18 weeks in the top 50.

Singles released from Adore include ‘Ava Adore’ (#19 May ’98) and ‘Perfect’ (#56 Sept. ’98).

Adore was certified Platinum. It was #47 on the 1998 ARIA End Of Year Albums Chart.

Smashing Pumpkins charted with one more album, Machina / The Machines Of God (#2 Mar. ’00), before splitting in 2000.

They reformed in 2006 and have released a further three albums including Monuments To An Elegy (#55 Dec. ’14).


All My Life -K-Ci & JoJo

American brothers K-Ci & JoJo picked up their only #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart when ‘All My Life’ spent one week in the top spot in June 1998. Taken from the duo’s debut album Love Always (#37 May ‘’98), ‘All My Life’ debuted at #49 in April. It reached #1 in its ninth week in the top 50. In total, the single spent 14 weeks in the top ten and 20 weeks in the top 50.

‘All My Life’ was #12 on the 1998 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart. It was received a Platinum Accreditation.

K-Ci & JoJo’s only other top 50 appearance on the ARIA Singles Chart was with ‘How Could You’ (# 35 Sept. ’98).
