Who could unseat RHCP and Drake at #1?

June 29, 2016

Contenders include Broods, Neil Young and Troye Sivan.

Last week’s ARIA Charts saw Red Hot Chili Peppers pick up their sixth #1 album with The Getaway and Drake hold the #1 position on the Singles Chart with One Dance.

Which acts could make an impact on the ARIA Charts this week?

Let’s have a look at some of this week’s possible debuts and movers.

New Zealand duo Broods will be hoping for a new peak on the back of second album Conscious; Neil Young releases a live album with Promise Of The Real, Earth; DJ Shadow returns with his fifth album and first in five years, The Mountain Will Fall; guitar hero Steve Vai could pick up his first top 50 appearance since 1990 with Modern Primitive / Passion & Warfare (25th Anniversary Edition).

Albums that could climb the chart this week include Prince’s The Very Best Of, Taylor Swift’s 1989, Coldplay’s A Head Full Of Dreams, Twenty One Pilots’ Blurryface, Play School’s 50 Best Songs and The Wiggles’ The Best Of.

Troye Sivan could pick up a fifth top 50 single with a new version of ‘WILD’, featuring a new verse by Alessia Cara; former The Voice winner Ellie Drennan could pick up a second Singles Chart entry with ‘Hard Love’; Delta Goodrem follows up ‘Dear Life’ (#3 May ’16) with ‘Enough’.

Look out for moves up the Singles Chart this week by The Veronicas’ ‘In My Blood’, Adele’s ‘Send My Love (To Your New Lover)’, Imany’s ‘Don't Be So Shy’ and OneRepublic’s ‘Wherever I Go’.

The weekly ARIA Charts announcement happens every Saturday at 6pm.
