Who'll top this week’s ARIA Charts?

Contenders include Passenger, Bruce Springsteen, Shawn Mendes and more.

At the top of last week’s ARIA Charts, Anthony Callea returned to the top of the Albums Chart for the first time since 2005 with Backbone and The Chainsmokers stretched their reign at the top of the Singles Chart to seven straight weeks with ‘Closer’.

Who are the acts that will challenge for spots on the ARIA Charts this week?

Let’s take a look at some of the contenders.


British singer-songwriter Passenger is aiming for his third top three appearance with seventh album Young As The Morning Old As The Sea; Bruce Springsteen could be set for a high debut with Chapter And Verse, a companion disc to his new autobiography Born To Run; Shawn Mendes could be set for his first top ten album with Illuminate; With fourth album Breakin' Outta Hell, Victorian rockers Airbourne return could pick up a new peak; Melbourne singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana could make her top 50 debut with the EP Notion; the Australian cast recording of Dream Lover - The Bobby Darin Musical could debut in the same week of the show’s debut in Sydney; American metalcore band Every Time I Die will be aiming for a new charts peak with eighth album Low Teens; with their third album Heads Up, LA band Warpaint could snare their second top 50 appearance.

My Chemical Romance could return to the top 50 with The Black Parade/ Living With Ghosts on the back of the former’s 10th anniversary reissue; Delta Goodrem’s Wings Of The Wild could move back up the top 50.


The Weeknd could return to the Singles Chart as he teams up with Daft Punk for the title track from his forthcoming third album ‘Starboy’

Look out for moves up the SingleChart this week by James Arthur’s ‘Say You Won't Let Go’, Artists Of Then, Now & Forever’s‘Forever Country’ and Shawn Mendes’ ‘Mercy’.
