Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

December 14, 2016

Contenders include Zayn & Taylor Swift, J. Cole, Isaiah and more.

On last week’s ARIA Charts, The Rolling Stones picked up their first #1 album since 1994 with Blue & Lonesome. On the Singles Chart, Clean Bandit held the top spot for a second straight week with ‘Rockabye’.

Who’ll be trying to hit the top spot on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Here are some of the contenders.

American rapper J. Cole could pick up a new peak on the ARIA Albums Chart with 4 Your Eyez Only; 2016 X Factor winner Isaiah Firebrace could make his Albums Chart debut with the album Isaiah; after charing with Earth (#37 Jul. ’16), Neil Young could pick up a second Albums Chart entry for the year with Peace Trail.

Albums that could move up this week’s chart include John Farnham & Olivia Newton John’s Friends For Christmas, Keith Urban’s Ripcord, Suicide Squad: The Album, Phil Collins’s The Singles, Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller and Lady Gaga’s Joanne.

Zayn and Taylor Swift team up for the lead single from the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, ‘I Don't Wanna Live Forever’; Steve Aoki and Louis Tomlinson join forces for the latter’s first post-One Direction release ‘Just Hold On’.

Look out for moves up the chart by Alessia Cara’s ‘Scars To Your Beautiful’, Andy Grammer’s ‘Fresh Eyes’ and Lady Gaga’s ‘Million Reasons’.

The weekly ARIA Charts announcement happens every Saturday at 5pm.
