Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

Contenders include Anthony Callea, Usher, Die Antwoord and more.

On last week’s ARIA Charts, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds picked up their second career #1 with Skeleton Tree, the record-breaking 15th Australian #1 album for 2016. On the Singles Chart, The Chainsmokers held #1 for a sixth straight week with ‘Closer’.

Which acts will take out the top spots on this week’s ARIA Charts?

Let’s take a look at some of the contenders.


Anthony Callea could be headed for the top ten for the first time since 2006 with Backbone; R&B star Usher returns with his first album in four years, Hard II Love; South African rap group Die Antwoord could make their top ten debut thanks to fourth album Mount Ninji And Da Nice Time Kid; the soundtrack to Bridget Jones's Baby could continue the movie series’ run of top ten hits; Melbourne hip hop artist Remi could pick up a new Albums Chart peak with second album Divas And Demons; American rapper Mac Miller could pick up his second chart appearance with fourth album The Divine Feminine; after peaking at #60 in 1997, Led Zeppelin’s BBC Sessions could make its top 50 debut as the reissued and expanded The Complete BBC Sessions; Melbourne multi-instrumentalist Harts could make his top 50 debut with second album Smoke Fire Hope Desire; Taking Back Sunday could chart for the first time since 2011 with Tidal Wave; veteran American performer Meat Loaf returns with his thirteenth album Braver Than We Are.

Albums that could move up the chart this week include Suicide Squad: The Album, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ The Getaway, Crowded House’s The Very Very Best Of Crowded House and The Wiggles’ The Best Of.


Calvin Harris follows ‘This Is What You Came For’ (#1 Jun. ’16) with ‘My Way’; James Arthur could return to the Singles Chart for the first time since 2013 with ‘Say You Won't Let Go’.

Look out for moves from Ariana Grande’s ‘Side To Side’, Hailee Steinfeld’s ‘Starving’ and Ellie Goulding’s ‘Still Falling For You’.
