Who'll top this week's ARIA Charts?

Contenders include Jessica Mauboy, Kings Of Leon, Lisa Mitchell and more.

There was new #1s on the ARIA Charts last week, with Triple J’s Like A Version 12 taking out the top spot on the Albums Chart and James Arthur jumping to #1 on the Singles Chart with ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’.

What will happen at the top of the ARIA Charts this week?

Let’s take a look at some of the possible contenders.


Jessica Mauboy is aiming for her first #1 album with The Secret Daughter (Songs From The Original TV Series); Kings Of Leon will be looking for their fourth #1 on the Albums Chart with seventh album WALLS; after scoring a #1 last year with Open Heaven/River Wild, Hillsong Worship return with Let There Be Light; singer-songwriter Lisa Mitchell returns with her first album in four years, Warriors; Newcastle punk band Trophy Eyes could make their top 50 debut with second album Chemical Miracle; American rapper The Game could pick up a sixth top 50 album with 1992; The Dillinger Escape Plan could grab their second top 50 entry with Dissociation; after a four year absence, Two Door Cinema Club return with their third album Gameshow; waltz king Andre Rieu could pick up a second top 50 entry this year with Falling In Love; New Zealand band The Naked And Famous release their first album in three years Simple Forms; Sydney’s Jagwar Ma could make their top 50 debut on the back of second album Every Now & Then; American pop artist Sabrina Carpenter could be set for a top 50 debut with  EVOLution; with her first album in ten years, American singer-songwriter JoJo could make her top 50 debut with Mad Love.

Albums that could make a move back up the chart include Bruce Springsteen’s Chapter And Verse, INXS’ The Very Best and Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman.


Maroon 5 could pick up their first chart appearance for 2016 with the Kendrick Lamar-featuring single ‘Don't Wanna Know’; Illy follows up ‘Papercuts (#2 Aug. ’16) with the Anne-Marie-featuring ‘Catch 22’; The Veronicas follow up ‘In My Blood’ (#1 Jul. ’16) with ‘On Your Side’.

Look out for moves up the Singles Chart from Ariana Grande’s ‘Side To Side’, The Chainsmokers’ ‘All We Know’ and Shawn Mendes’ ‘Mercy’.
